Well I called the sheriff department today. I got the old nothing we can do and we can not discuss a case that is under investigation (pointing gun at the neighbor). Yeah right, if he will not press charges then they don’t have a case!
I got the deputes name that I talked to.

Talked to the mental health folks, acted like I was concerned for his heath (at this point, yeah right) they will start checking to see want they could do. Said to give them some time.
Got the name of the lady I talked with and told her I would call her in one week.

I suppose I should be nicer about the way I feel about him. But at this point I’m already getting tried of butting my head against the wall. Between trying to get some work done and calling government agencies I could lay down and just give up.

Change subject for a moment…….
Am I the only one that feels this way, when I call a business I do not wish to leave a message I want to talk to a real live person, even if they don’t know what their doing. I also don’t want to press 1 for Betty Lou or 2 for jimmy jack.

SO MUCH FOR BEING NICE, I went over and asked to turn down the THUMPING, got told, FY, GTH, KMY, and even invited inside so he could WHOOP my butt. I asked him to step out into the road because I didn't think his father would appreciate all the blood inside, after more of the cussing, I walked across the street to home, as soon as I shut the door, it sounded like all hell broke loose over there, I called the sheriff and told them what was going on, about 10 minutes later his father comes home, 3-4 minutes later the sheriff shows up, they start pointing to our house, and then 2 weeks later, I get a letter in the mail saying there is a warrant for MY arrest, criminal misch. what ever the crap that is. But I did have all the good guys at the sheriffs ofice laughing their butts off while I was being booked, gotta go on Thursday and tell the hanging judge I didn't do it, then later to court. But this is the same kid (20 years old) that pulled his pants down ( while my wife was outside) to tell me to kiss his butt, YEH I went after him, caught him, and "we had a discussion". His father came over later and wanted to bow up on me, after I told him what he did, and if he did it again, he could pick him up at the hospital having my boot surgericlly removed from his butt, he just turned and walked away. But he ain't said a word about this time, maybe the 2 drug charges and hitting a corvette with no insurance is making him keep his mouth shut.

 

Interesting. Just out of curiosity, why did they put a warrant out for YOU?? Unless there's more to the story than you're telling us then the sheriff would have no reason to arrest you...and I highly doubt they would put a warrant out for your arrest without even coming over to your house to get your side of the story. If you are telling the whole story, then I think you've got a good case against them for false arrest.

 

wife was able to get a copy of the report today, the kid told the sheriff that I came over there beating on the door and outside wall, told him I would kill him and called his girl friend a B & W, the sheriff NEVER came over here or even said a word to me. What I did was knock on the door with the side of my hand, AFTER knocking like a normal person the first time, when he opened the door, I told him I was trying to sleep and asked him to turn off the thumping, THAT'S when he started started the FY, and other things. I didn;t threaten to kill him, but I did PROMISE him if he'd come out into the street, I'd stomp a mughole in his butt big enough to drive a truck thru, and when his "girlfriend" started flapping her drunk gums, I told him to put the bimbo back inside. In Alabama, I guess all you have to do is make a report with the sheriff, then feed the magisrate in line of crap, but I can undertsand how this little 20 year old, 6', 160 lb. child would be scared of an old man in sweat pants, that only stands 5'4", and 120 lbs. Man, I'm so bad I scare myself . I'm not worried, I just gave it to our company lawyer, and he's already found some nice stuff about him, as too why the sheriffs went to his house FIRST after they found one of the kids dead on the block behind us, OD'd in OXY, Loratab, special K, cocaine, and crystal meth. I think that's reason enough to complain to some of these kids, it might help one live a little longer, because it's easy to see their parents don't care or see a problem.

 

Just an update, I sent a polite letter to the sheriff today explaining some of the things that have happened over the years. Also happened to mention that one neighbor had taken to carrying a shot gun while in his yard due to him being afraid of this jerk. Explained that other folks in the neighborhood where doing the same due to fear for our lives or in my case my wife. I’ll be willing to bet I see something happen. It could be me going to jail but at least some reports will be generated and a record will be made.
Just for the record
I did not tell anything but the truth, everything I told him has or is happening. We will see.

 

Sorry about your luck with your neighbor. Seams to me like there was a story not long ago (couple of years maybe) about a similar type of thing. Seams the neighborhood was terrified of fellow and they kept getting the same run-around from the local PD. The show was about how someone could get gunned down in broad daylight and NOBODY see or hear anything in a quite suburban neighborhood. There is a difference between knowing what happed and proving it.


Good luck and I really hope it does not come to that. I have a interesting story and someday will take time to put on here.

We don't have many neighbor problems where I'm at. Things tend to be taken care of at the local level. However, I know where you're coming from with the charges being filed against you.
We were in the process of moving from the city to our present location. Several truck and trailer loads had already been hauled. I pulled into the drive and noticed the glint of sunlight off of a reflective object that hadn't been there a couple of hour before. I pulled the truck to where it was blocking the drive and took my trusty M1A out from behind the seat and started walking toward the house. I heard an engine fire up and noticed a Firebird moving toward me at a high rate of speed with, what appeared, no intention of slowing down. 17 each, 173 grain, 7.62mm ap's turned the 400 ci V-8 into a 150 ci V-3. The vehicle stopped and as I ua'ed the individual from the car, noticed that it was full of MY stuff. A couple of neighbors came to see what the firefight was about and called the sheriff. A deputy showed up an hour later and hauled the individual to jail. The next day, I had attempted murder charges filed on me. Went before the judge and the sheriff told him that there was no way that would fly. If I was intending to shoot the individual, I wouldn't have wasted the other 16 rounds. All charges were dropped. The individual was later released on bail, stole a motorcycle, and ended up becoming a grill ornament on a Kenworth log truck. The taxpayers were saved a bunch of money.

 

Sounds like he finally found his niche.

Preliminary court date was yesterday morning, Lawyer said "no need for me to be there" so I went to shop and worked. The neighbors where peeking out the blinds when I went outside in my old work clothes. My wife said they came out a about 45 minutes before court and where laughing their butts off, I guess they saw the hand full of papers I had, it was on inbound parts and pumps shipment to give to the freight broker, and figured it was court papers. She told me after I came home last night that they had A WHOLE DIFFERENT LOOK on their face when they came home, and we ain't seen the boy since then. I guess he got to meet my lawyer and is worried about the 8 cameras that we have outside, that are hooked to a vcr. Guess I'll just have to bring a hand full of tapes to court and see if the kid will come clean, if not, we have a witness that has already said that he saw me go inside my house BEFORE the noise started. Never a dull moment when you live around INBRED, ONE EYED, REDNECKS. I guess when your daddy is really your grand daddy, and your sister is your mother, what does that make her mother????? Your cousin??????????? But that's how people will act.
