Needing water wings

Anyone got a spare set of water wings or a life preserver for a fat man you no longer need? We have had so much rain here in southeast Texas in the last month that my feet are starting to web out. The rain last night was unbelievable. 5 inches in 1.5 hours with a light show that lasted for 3 hours. Every creek, bayou and river down here is full up with many that overshot bank-full. We have had about 16" of rain in the last 4 weeks and I am tired of it.....

glub glub glub ya'll

You guys are all over the news. Stay smart and don't become one of the statistics. it's hard to believe you have that much rain and it's not even tropical.

Coffee is hot, phoo is too and fresh squeezed limes for Stan the man on the road.

Prayers for those being inundated with harsh weather, hang in there folks and seek high ground.

You guys have really had it. Can't believe Austin - - lived there a while and I can't imagine the flooding there. Stay safe.

We had a light show last night at bedtime. There was a period of about 15 minutes that there was no silence - - just banging all around and the deep rumble. Quite amazing. The rain was there but not heavy, but wow the lightning. Supports that reputation of being the lightning capital of the US.

Plowed my way into work this morning to the tune of more rain and another brilliant light show.

I had enough of the backroad shuffle yesterday. Woke up this morning and decided to pull covers back over my head and let the light and water show blow over. I spent 6 hours yesterday traversing what should have been a 2 hour drivetime. As far as driving thru the high stuff, not for me, I know all of the backroads around town to avoid all of the "submarine underpasses". Went across 6 of our major bayous and was AMAZED at the amount of water that is working its way to Galveston bay. Fishing is gonna suck in the bay for a while until the salt level can recover due to all of the fresh water influx.

Gonna go back out into the shop and do some spring organizing.

Keep your wits about you. In the mean time send the excess to CA and some to AK.
