need your PRAYERS
Been out of loop for 3 weeks since falling off roof and getting to see what my bones look like without an X-Ray. Shattered distal tib/fib and took 2 long metal plates and 15 or so screws to put my compounded nasty fx back together. Anyhoo, now Doc is worried about infection from open wound and may need wound vac and skin graft if it doesn't heel well over plate. Reason I fell was just plain impatience. Finished unloading hay at barn, went up to cabin/guest/party house we're building to stain gable end of sawmill lumber. Said to myself, I ought to go get my good rope down at the barn and tie off. Oh, No, couldn't take 20 or 30 minutes to get off roof, go to barn come back and tie myself off. Maybe someone can learn from my mistake, doesn't look like I can. So when I dropped oil based stain at my feet, slipped on my backside I slowly started sliding of metal roof. God was with me as I didn't shatter my back and spinal cord. There are worse things than death(IMO), I admire anyone that is a quadraplegic and tries to get on with their life. Please pray I don't get osteomyelitis ( bone infection) and my skin will heal well over metal plate, where bones broke thru skin. God is always good. He can take something bad and make something good out of it. Thanks guys, I love reading all the forums, and have learned a lot about my truck, which I can't wait to drive again one day. Thanks for your prayers, Nelson

Nate, I guess it was ?10 to 12 feet onto wooden steps. Guess I hit just right to do all that damage. Thanks for all the encouragement guys, it reall perks me up! Thanks for the Prayers too. God bless you all.
Prayers to you. My sis got rolled over by a horse and had a similar situtation. Finally got the vac pump and eventually healed. The only advice I can give is do what the doc says, no exceptions. Dad was a doc and was always saying how if his patients would just rest and do as ordered they could've avoided a lot of extra grief. Good luck to you and prayers, Kurt
You have prayers from my family. Buy the way, I was hit by a truck when I was 9, he was doing about 70mph and I was on a bike with no helmet. I spent five days in the hospital with my femur broken in 21 places and a gash across my knee, but amazingly no other injuries. I had a rod in my leg for a year, and your leg is going to kill you when it rain trust me on this. I thank the good lord every day for sparing me. When something like this happens, you will look back on it the rest of your life and thank God every day that he has given you when it could have been taken away from you. Get well soon!
