Angry Need some Ideas on how to stay awake for the next 24hrs

So, my co-worker decided he didn't wanna do this job anymore so he just up and left me about 2 hours ago when he was supposed to start his shift 5am-5pm. I talk to my boss, he says it will be atleast tomorrow until he can get someone to cover for that guy...By the way, I do the geology work on drilling rigs..Then as I'm going to give my morning report the the company man, he tells me that all of the investors will be on site today and that he will bring them to me to explain what exactly we are drillin. So the way I got it figured, I can't go to sleep in fear that they will walk in and wonder what they are payin me for so I am up until 5am tomorrow morning if im lucky...

Don't you just love some peoples work ethics nowadays

everytime you start to doze off, slam your hand in the door of the office.

The proper application of a 12V battery and a set of jumper cables will prevent you from nodding off....

good luck. i had to stay up for 48 hrs straight one time...we were really busy at work for 24, then went to the part-time job and it was the same ole thing there! i dont know how i got home to be honest. i was a danger to myself and everyone on the road...probably worse than driving drunk(which i dont do)

just drink some coffee, but not to much to where you have the shakes or have to pee every 5 mins. and maybe have someone keep an eye on things and sneak a little 15 min cat nap. on alot of the rigs i was around in oklahoma, theres some guys that can stay up for way longer than 24 hrs if you know what i mean but i definately wouldnt recommend that

Yes, Cope is workin, Last time I had a problem of stayin awake I realized my copenhagen was abit dry from leaving it in my truck on another well I was on in Green River UT, So i started a thread on how to fix that and since I didn't have any jack D I tried some Cuervo and it worked out just dandy.

And to whoever said to slam my hand in the door, I did, It is so darn windy out here that when I was pulling the door closed the wind blew in the other direction and closed it on my knuckles...thank god I had on gloves
