Heres another answer to the tribe question.

Ask the tribesman if it is raining. You will then know which tribe he belongs to.

I think it's the second one.... but then, it's early.

jrs_dodge - I believe the problem only allows one question. So if you determine which tribe the native is from by inquiring about the weather, that's your question and you still haven't determined which path is safe.

Ahhhh....that would definitely work....although you would probably want to provide a specific location when you ask the question....because SOMEWHERE it is raining.
