I bought a '98 12v that's ~700 miles from where it needs to be; it's in Maine and needs to be in Virginia Beach due to a failed auto transmission. DAS auto shippers says it will cost me $1300. Jones Motor Inc wants $700 to haul it on a hotshot rig and both of those sound a little high to me. I'm calling Allied Auto Group in the morning, but I'm wondering if there's an auto transport company that I'm not thinking about. Anyone have any other ideas? Who are some good hotshot freight brokers?

I tried Yesterday's Tractor, but no one seems to have any 'can haul' down the northeast. There's some in NY, but they were headed west instead of south.
