my cousin has a 2002 eclipse gt 5speed and he was wounderin if you have to drop the whole engine to replace the clutch..some one that he knows told him he did..and the huys is knoledgeable about the lil ricers and has an eclipse himself..but a mechanic said he didnt..jw if one of yall guys mite happen to know

the engine doesnt have to come out but he will need to fab up a support that goes across the engine bay to hold the engine when the trans is out. The trans mounts also support the engine so when the trans is out there is only one mount (the one by the t-belt area) to hold the eng in.
