Re:My Tool Fetish

Someday...if ever....if it warms up above freezing, I'll get to try my new Honda powered, CAT pump pressure washer 8). Gonna blast the winter away on and under the vehicles.

Hmm..I too almost cut my thumb off by a hacksaw. I was grasping the item under the blade when it went thru the stock and started in on my digit. Still have that 40 year old scar.

Re:My Tool Fetish

Well, haven't bought any new personal tools except those needed for my job BUT gettin' ready to make some sawdust (cedar) building a new deck real soon. Our winter has been so mild, California is enjoying our seasonal rains, the building bug is just about ready to bite. Does a new stainless steel BBQ and a deck cart with drawers and stainless top count as new tools? It certainly keeps the wife happy. She knows that when I BBQ, she doesn't have to cook. Think I'm going to start a new thread about BBQ's and sauces. Get you guys thinking about spring. ;D ;D

~Dave

Well if any of you want to travel to St. Louis, I'm sure that it can be arranged. Also, Gateway International Raceway is only 15 minutes from my house. Be a good spot to test those new mods ;D Just make sure that everyone brings food and beverage. We do work for BEER!

Re:My Tool Fetish

I know, I know. Invite CTD 359 to your truck unloading party. He could do it all by himself.

Re:My Tool Fetish

Hehehe.....me and this fella I know, well, we have kind of a "unique" friendship. I snookered that poor soul into paying for HALF of all the tools I've got out in my 2 car garage!! ;D I've got over a hundred grand worth of tools out there...and that goofball paid for half of it!! Some people are just SO easy!! I guess it's true what they say....there's a sucker born every minute... :

Anyway, I've got mig welders, plasma cutters, sandblasters, pipe benders, drill presses, air compressors, every hand tool you could possibly think of....you name it! There's not in a job in the world that I couldn't do in my shop!! ;D

Re:My Tool Fetish

It's out and sitting on the floor. ;D

I only unpacked the cabinet and saw, the rest of it is still in the boxes in the polebarn.

I'm at work tonight and it's killing me not being able to put it together. :'( I went to the Home Depot on my way into work and spent $266 on some Romex wire, and plugs. I forgot how expensive electrical supplies were. : Hopefully I'll have it fired up and running by this time tomorrow.

DB
