Man! I have NEVER seen that many women in one service, much less one area! I was ARMY MP but think that women should be in support services only and definitely NOT on a ship or in a foxhole- can't fight if you are going to protect someone else..( I am a gal, and it's MY opinion) some of those women scare even ME! now I get the past post about sailors being overweight, too....ok GEICO me boy, here's a pic for you!

Old Navy here, USS DECATUR, DDG31, 1200 PSI boiler, Sherman class destroyer, with a east coast hurricane bow, doing a west coast mission. Fresh air snipe "A" ganger here, MR2. No fancy dang gas turbine weenie ships here. Real men sailed with steam.

I was gonna set sail on "Old Irons Sides" back in the day,.... and NO I wasn't no "cabin boy"!

If you had energy to dance like that they would book you for another watch. We stood watch 4 hours on, 4 hours off, 24/7 till we were in port. No time to play & dance around that's for sure. Damage control drills anytime, 2 a day. I was #1 OBA (O2 breathing apporatise) man for #2 repair locker.

Wheeew! I need a nap!
