Well, I'm sitting in front of my Verizon store watching a geek dress up as a Droid waiting for the store to open. No it's not me. But I am a geek with some coffee waiting impatiently for the store to open. Haven't been this excited over a gadget for years. anyways, you geeks understand.

 

My current plan w/ Sprint is done in February. I was thinking of switching carriers as Sprint doesn't seem to have the best coverage in my area as others do. I was actually looking at going to Verizon.

I really only look for one crucial key in phones, durability. I dropped my phone in 5 gallons of coolant last night, dried it out and she works perfect. I 'll give it a few months and see how the track record of this phone is first.

too much function and gizmos- looking for the microwave...

 

He probably already has the costume on. they told him that if he wore it out on the street corner all day they would give him the phone. Waiting for the videos to be posted on youtube later! LOL

oh hes off the street corner playing with his new "crack" lol... fill us in, would be cool if it were part of the blackberry family. I am due for an upgrade.

Me too. When I open my phone and punch in a number, I just want it to connect me to the party I'm calling. If it does that, then I'm happy. All the other stuff they come with now I don't understand, much less use.

My address book is a little fake leather notepad kind of thing with paper in it on which to write names and addresses, and my idea of 'high tech' is a battery powered Rolodex that turns on its own when you push a button. Push it again and it stops somewhere in the alphabetical vicinity of the name you're looking for.

verizon had buy 1 get one free crackberries for the last month, I was due for a new phone and i am glad i didnt take the bait 3wks ago. A buddy of mine at the verizon store told me about the Droid and I have been doing alot of research on them. I will try to get my Droid tomorrow or sunday woohoo.
