My dad used to drink it and when he allowed me a sip I liked it.
After I was grown the formula was pretty undrinkable.
Maybe we'll get it here in TX someday.

LOL, when I was in the Army we had vending machines that had beer in them.
This was the selection,

Carling black label
Shlitz
Pabst blue ribbon
Falstaff

The Shlitz was always the first to go empty, then it was the pabst, then the Falstaff, and last the Carling (horrible stuff).
We would empty the machine the day it got filled, $.50 for a beer, WOOOHOOO.

I have been able to buy it in College Station for the past six years, and I have seen it in numerous stores in TX.

I remember a few years ago the city of chicago tore down the old Falstaff malting plant. As long as I can remember it had always been vacant. It use to sit along side of I-90.

Falstaff....Now that's a trip down memory lane!!
I tore out my Mom-in-law's fireplace a while back and the mason had put old Falstsaff cans in the chimney as flashing.

Dad tore out the front porch of my g'mas house this spring after she died and found a bunch of old PBR can buried in it. He was also doing some work on the fence at the edge of his property and found a couple unopened steel schlitz cans. They were the old pop tops and still had beer in them. We were surprised they lasted so long without rusting open.

Blue3quarter: Around 1975 we moved my Dads travel trailer that had been parked since 1966. Schlitz beer in it. Had been frozen and thawed many times. It was still ok to drink. Not perfect but it didnt kill us.
