Mini Engines

I had never seen anything like this before.

Mini, blown engines... and more.
These guys cast, grind, and mill everything from cams to engine blocks.
Now, if they'd only make a diesel!

Pretty Cool!

Re:Mini Engines

There's some machinist's in the Boston area that does 1/10 th scale cars. One of them had a 42.6(fourty two point six) cubic inch Hemi. Talk about a sweet sound. The detail was fantastic.
Wish I had that much time on my hands.

Re:Mini Engines

That is really neat. Some of the newer model aircraft engines are similar and ever smaller.

Re:Mini Engines

Sure would be fun to play with. Like Mexstan said, model aircraft engines can be fun also. I just got done working over a 1.20 ci 4 stroke. Sounds really good. Runs on a mix of methane, nitro, and castor. A guy I used to know had several wankels for his aircraft. Wouldn't let me have one tho. By the way, many of the aircraft engines are either designed as a diesel or can be converted.

Re:Mini Engines

I have a video somewhere on one of my computers that is a hand built V12 in a model car. It runs and revs and idles. It was all built by one guy by hand took years...
