geeesh...you guys are all talking about trying to get back together and I have tried for 12 years to get rid of mine

She just keeps coming back, dern it.

In all honesty...she and I are good together. Of course we have our rough times, but the 4 kiddos she gave me and the rest of the perks make married life well worth it.

Congrats! Glad to hear it!

And Tanderson - I agree, however my divorce was a blessing! I'd still be living in a singlewide in the middle of tornadoville, on welfare wondering how I'm gonna feed my little one!

Re:Mexstan and all members, must read!!!!!!!!!

Wow - - this is like Wednesday night prayer meeting. I have to agree with the previous statements - - put God first in your life (called the vertical relationship) and the rest fall in line (called the horizontal relationships) much better.
Remember Curt, it's great to go hunting and fishing (I do it too) but God comes first, then the family comes next. Hunting and fishing fall down below there somewhere. I am really happy for you. Develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and you will be amazed how all other things will run so much better. My wife and I will be praying that all will go well for you guys, both spiritually and in the marriage.

Good man, Stan.

Bob

Mexstan is a person that reaches out to others where he can to help. World would be a better place to live if there were more like him.

Re:Mexstan and all members, must read!!!!!!!!!

With all the talk these days how marriages are falling apart, I am glad to hear a happy ending to this story. I can relate to the hell you went through--I have been there myself. I wouldn't trade anything for the wife I have now (not even my Ram). I am also impressed by the responses I have been reading. This sounds like a very mature and helpful group. And yes, I have seen some of the tranny wars, but it is times like this where the rubber meets the road. Good job to all and God bless.

Congrats man !
Just getting the concerns and issues out in the open, whether in prayer, counseling or just talking to each other, makes the difference in a situation like that. It's good to hear that everyone involved was willing to do something and not give up ... Stan especially !!! You are a good man.

Stan has got to be a big hearted fella and a friend to be cherished. He in my short time on this post has proven to be an asset to the rest of us lost soles. I think it is amazing that God would be working his miracles on a diesel truck site. God works in mysterious ways is an understatement. I am happy that your marriage is comming around and hope you can continue to work at it. Marriage is the hardest job in this world, just shy of raising kids that is. Just be careful not to expect everything to go your way. God has a plan for us all and sometimes that plan is evident and sometimes not. We have to remember not to question the good or the bad. The bible has the man doing a lot more than society does when it comes to the house work and I can understand why. Her job of bringing children into this world and raising them is by far more precious and important tahn anything I do at work. Remember your vows and stay in line with the word of God and you'll truly be blessed. On a not so serious note and alittle off topic. Do you guys let your wives read this stuff? Mine wouldn't believe thta us gear headed grease monkeys could possibly be sharing like this! I hope we can keep all this a secret. Well except for passing the word on about our heavenly father. NO PEACE NO GOD/ KNOW PEACE KNOW GOD... think about it.. Great to be a member and really honored to be associated with a great bunch of people.

Re:Mexstan and all members, must read!!!!!!!!!

Look guys, I appreciate the accolades, but enough. OK? I want to make something very clear. It was NOT me who saved Curt's marriage. I was only a very, very small instrument. There were a lot of folks praying for their reconciliation. Even a men's weekly group down here. I strongly believe in the power of prayer because I have seen the positive results over and over. In this case all I did was pray and ask for guidance as to the best way to help them, then relay this to Curt via email. After that it was up to Curt and he obviously loved his wife enough to take positive action. Good for him. The credit goes to Jesus Christ and Curt. He may not realize it yet, but he still has a long way to go and I would ask that you that believe in prayer to remember him and his wife as they go down the rocky road of reconciliation and begin constructing their new life together. Pray that it will be a relationship that becomes stronger than ever.
I would never have believed that a forum like this would have been the tool in something like this, so my compliments also go the owners and mods that allowed this to take place. You too, give yourself credit for being a part in helping Curt get back with his wife.
I am really proud of ALL of you!!!!!!!! PTL.

Re:Mexstan and all members, must read!!!!!!!!!

Great to hear of someone being able to save a marriage that close to disolution.

Sometimes I wish I would have been able to save mine, but then I remember who it was I was married to. :-X
(long story, a very good thing I divorced her when I did)

You both sound like keepers, and both worthy of marriage.

WOW! I feel very fortunate to have a great group of people hear to share this with, thank you all for all the comments and replies! .....
NOW! Mexstan, you need not be embarassed! I under stand that "I" am the one that went forword and fought but "YOU" were the one I found help and guidence through. If it were not for you my friend I don't believe I could of sorted it out alone. You gave me the confedence and clear headedness I needed to complete this matter, and for that I truly thank you! I did not let everyone in on this to embarass you, I did it to thank you and show what kind of folks we have here at DTR. GREAT ONES!!!!!
I know we have a long road ahead of us and both agree it will take time, but hey, time is all we have.
Thanks again to all! Peace 8)
