the word our of my houston co-workers is
$450 in gasoline for the generator.
$200 for a window air unit that had just gotten installed with the power came back on .
10 days without power.
One large tree down in the front yard.
some damage to the house.
Only thing missing is cable and internet

When he got to work, his office was cleaned out and spent two hours finding everything.

Someone caught on

Starting out to be a slow night. Gonna spend quite a bit of time cleaning up this nasty office I work in. Lots of nasty bugs 'round here. May need to borrow some not so legal chemicals out of the Janitor's closet to get a real clean in here. Might actually need a hazmat suit if I move the copy and fax machines.....

Keep the lights on!

Mornin' all,

NW Houston, nice partly cloudy day, go to about 90 or so.

FO. A lot of Houston have big problems still. You co-worker did OK considering.
Still a lot of people with out power. Those living in a lot of trees developments. The Woodland, Oak bend, Timber trails etc. Too many BIG trees came down.
We were luck, minor damage.

I about to go to work, Houston traffic still a mess.

Have a good un, and be safe out there.

Where's everybody at? Looks you guys/gals need a break...so get in here.

Something in the fridge smells like a diaper and the coffee pot looks like something is growing in it or is that the 3 Mile Island Coffee? Where is the Janitor?

Fresh pots of coffee, tea, sweet tea, and 5er's ph00 are on. And whtever that was in the fridge got thrown out back.

Good day today, I wrote thank you on my time card today. My job I was assigned to never came in during the shift, so I did a little clean up in the work area and organized my tool box some. GF is coming over for dinner tonight, gonna put a couple game hens in the oven, make some mashed potatoes and gravy, and steam some veggies. Gotta get some new tires on the Dodge soon, punched it getting into traffic today and got her sideways becasue of the balding tires. No time this week or weekend to get them so maybe the weekend after.

POP POP POP POP! popcorn is done! Butter and salt on some, another batch of kettle corn is almost there.

Kinda funny you said that about me being from Redenbachers home town, I almost forgot he's from here. They closed the popcorn plant here years ago and shipped the operations elsewhere, all that remains of him is the annual Popcorn Festival. Kinda sad the thing that made this town somewhat famous isn't even here anymore, THANK YOU CON-AGRA FOODS!
