Those wheels are awesome. I guess I'm a little biased though since I have the same ones.

Do they make leveling kits for mega 2wds? If so, get one, it will look alot better. Looks like you could clear some bigger tires (IMO), I think that would definitely be for the better too. But a good lookin truck overall!!!

i was thinking of lowering the rear, because i carry all my junk in trailers.
and we just picked up a bunch of 12~13 year old kids in our class at Church, and the Golden Girls at Church can't "hop" up in there.

but there is no easy way to do it. I saw someone on here lowered the rear by moving some "pad" on the rear, but that must have been on a 4wd.

the tires are not much taller than the OEM tires, but the width is a killer.

the front tires are pretty dang close to the fender when you turn the steering wheel.

Yeah, with my 20's on 285's (close to stock) I barely clear. I believe some ppl remove the block on the axle, and some also remove a leaf or a couple too.

I lowered my old Chevrolet with what is called drop shackles. It moves the mounting location of the shackles up in to the fender well. It was good for two inches. Here is a link http://www.stylintrucks.com/parts.as..._prod_ids=5309

Just a quick question for ya, what made you decide to go with a 2wd? Its just a thing I'm always thinkin whenever I see a 2wd drivin around up here. I see that you said something about towing a lot...

I tow alot with my 2wd. Personally, I've got no need for a 4wd, and I'm a team roper and raise cattle. If I get stuck, which RARELY happens, I get the John Deere and pull myself out. Why spend a couple grand extra on something you don't need. On top of the initial expense of the 4wd, you've got more maintenance costs and higher insurance premiums. Just seems like a waste of money, that I could be spending on something else. Of course this is just my opinion and Im sure that there are plenty of people that NEED 4wd. Just not me. And if you're curious as to what I pull, take a look at my gallery, those are just 2 of the goosenecks I pull. I also pull a 3 horse slant with 14' shortwall living quarters trailer, and numerous other flat deck gooseneck trailers hauling tractors, hay and other farm implements.

Whats the difference? Is it just a brand? I bought an old one last year after I cracked a bone and partially tore two tendons in my foot wakeboarding last year and they are a blast, but can be VERY painful from what I've learned during quite a few face plants while learning how to jump.

Also, the guy that invented the air chair, lives in the town I live in. Fort Collins, he is abit older and fun to see the guy cruisin around the lake doin backflips and rolls left and right.

i "broke" my 2004 4x4 by "bombing it".....

i prayed about it (alot) and the 4x2 was all that was available when the 4x4 was on it's last legs.

the 4x4 was really a pain to climb in & out, even with stepbars. esp for kids & wife & Golden Girls. i carried a little step stool for older women.

i got the 4x2 stuck on wet grass. that's a pretty common occurrence, from the responses i got when i posted that.

has anyone got this combo on a 4x4? my son in law wants to know what it would like on his, i told him to pull out the $$$ and find out...

back to Ski chairs....
