It was coming for a while. I wanted a Smarty Jr for the truck. He wanted a Diablo Predator for his Charger. Today I was ordering something, darn it. It is Friday and we WILL blow money like a drunken sailor (it's ok, sailors are us).

Well, it's been a good day. I went for a nice drive this morning. I hadn't intended burning as much diesel as I did. I was only headed to the grocery store for a few things for tonight's grill out. But when I pointed the truck out of the neighborhood she really wanted to run and I feel awesome in the seat - dale gas!

After about an hour of foolin' around I got to the grocery store. Got some good steaks, beer and the fixings. I sat down at the computer real quick to check email before getting the house ready for company.

He's got a Diablo Predator programmer on the way. It's ok. It was on sale for a group buy. It's ok. He really wanted it and he deserves some toys too. He works hard. It's ok. What I do with his car when he's out of town he doesn't have to know about

I need to get cleaned up. The house is done. Then I'm gonna prep food and start the fire.

well ya gotta keep the cob webs out of the intake on the charger! LOL. you could program tire size to REALLY small. that way the odo don't roll over too much from the burnouts and only looks like you took it to the store for "grocery's" and reprogram it back to normal when you get back! LOL

cbrahs, the other day he came from a two week exercise, we get in the car to go eat dinner. He's driving..."Something feels weird. My car just feels weird Sweety. What'd you do to it? The throttle ain't right. Of course my seat and mirrors ain't right. But it's just driving weird". He looks at me curiously when I tell him I need to show him how to drive his car.


But really I didn't do anything crazy to his car. During the week earlier I took it for a spin, gassed it up and then went to Sonic ate cheese tots and a cherry lime slush (he's so **** about the leather it's funny).


I'm deciding how I'll give him the Predator. Hand it to him and say "I got you this - enjoy!" or install it when he goes out of town next. What do you think?

you could play that one off pretty well. order the tuner and load it. say hey lets go to sonic and you drive. he will be WT, and then when you get home hand him the box

 

Let us know how that Predator works out. You and I are kinda opposite! I'm a guy with the truck, and my wife has the Charger! But I'd still like to know how the Predator works out, just because every once in awhile, I get to drive the wife's SRT8 Charger (really mine, since I paid for it, LOL). I'd be curious to see what I could really get out of the Charger.

Yeah we are kind opposite Will do on some impressions. Right now the car is mostly performance stock (got some interior Nav goodies). It only has a K&N intake that was on the car when we got it. I'm beginning to research exhaust options. The 5.7 on all 8 sound great, but I'm concerned about sound or drone when MDS kicks in. With the stock exhaust you can't tell when it kicks in, but I've read it can be very obvious with some systems. Some recommend going up to the SRT8 system but I'm not sure on that. Dual 2.75" on the 5.7 is a little big I think. At east it use to be for my Chevy truck.
