Makes you wonder how...
There are some things you run across that simply makes you scratch your head.
I have no info on this. But judging by the big honking tug strap attached to the front bumper, they were either trying to tug the truck (doesn't look stuck) or they were trying to tug something with the truck that's out of the picture.
I sure would like to find out what's on the other end of that tug strap....

apparently the front frame horns/spring hangers couldn't hold on to the frame when it was pulled. Pop goes the Kenworth.
My guess, is they didn't tie the tow hitch to the frame properly, and that is the result. It is obviously tied to the bumper and the front horns, but I am thinking that there should be plating behind that, like I have seen on most T800 heavy haul rigging. mostly just cheek-plates along the frame.
Oh well, gives them something to talk about.
Who knows, maybe it sneezed at the wrong time.

It would appear there is a cord of sorts stretched from the rear of the trailer up past the hood and on out of frame? I wonder if there wasnt a tow truck involved???????

Not to hi-jack this thread, but I figured I'd also post a picture that shows the result of a poor maintentance program. This happen on one of our jobs last year. This is on Hwy 190 dropping into Death Valley, just out side of Panamint Springs. The driver (who walked away with just some bruise's and scratch's) said he had the brake peddle to the floor board. But, they never engaged properly. The maxi's didn't even lock.
