Not all that inspirational, but so true and funny as all heck.
You only say it because it's true.

Ordered my new computer today. Short's, you only had to wait a couple days, I've got a month.

Well folks, I am about to shut down for the night. Mother Nature definitely needs an attitude adjustment. Still not as bad as you are getting in the Excited States, but bad for here. We get nasty winters so I expect to get nice summers. Not so much this year. We were under a severe storm and tornado warning AGAIN tonight. We got lucky, the southern edge of the storm went a few miles north of us. My entire family, all of my in-laws and most of my friends within 200 miles have called tonight to see if we are fine. The crazy thing, we aren't even into our nasty storm season yet. We aren't even getting the crazy heat the eastern Canada and the USA are getting yet. This is going to be a summer for the record books. Have a safe one y'all.

Trad - that's no good about the seals. You're just all muscle, to strong.

I'm flat wore out. Started painting about 1130am and finally finished up downstairs. Got the stairway hallway then the bedroom to get done. Love the change, just gotta survive the grunt work.

Night night.

Its starting to set up for another round of storms over here tomorrow. Several hundred tornado watches and warnings already this summer over here!? Some of the rain we get is crazy intense. Stay safe over there. The heat is working its way to the 90's here now.

Night Night Shorts, sleep tight. In your recliner?

Got a new bed here after several bad choices. Hope to sleep through the night for a change.

I had better All-Turd the Ph0o0 Phluff for Bobby. He always appreciates a good cup o ph0o0 when he struts in wearing his painted on Speedo.

Okay, you've had your fun playing mechanic. NOW let someone who knows what they're doing fix it.

FRIDAY, JULY 6th:

1699 - Captain William Kidd, the pirate, was captured in Boston, MA, and deported back to England.

1777 - British forces captured Fort Ticonderoga during the American Revolution.

1854 - In Jackson, MI, the Republican Party held its first convention.

1885 - Louis Pasteur successfully tested his anti-rabies vaccine. The child used in the test later became the director of the Pasteur Institute.

1917 - During World War I, Arab forces led by T.E. Lawrence captured the port of Aqaba from the Turks.

1919 - A British dirigible landed in New York at Roosevelt Field. It completed the first crossing of the Atlantic Ocean by an airship.

1923 - The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics was established.

1932 - The postage rate for first class mail in the U.S. went from 2-cents to 3-cents.

1942 - Diarist Anne Frank and her family took refuge from the ***** in Amsterdam.

1981 - Former President of Argentina Isabel Peron was freed after five years of house arrest by a federal court.

1981 - The Dupont Company announced an agreement to purchase Conoco, Inc. (Continental Oil Co.) for $7 billion. At the time it was the largest merger in corporate history.

1983 - The U.S. Supreme Court ruled that retirement plans could not pay women smaller monthly payments solely because of their gender.

1985 - The submarine Nautilus arrived in Groton, Connecticut. The vessel had been towed from Mare Island Naval Shipyard.

1988 - Several popular beaches were closed in New York City due to medical waste and other debris began washing up on the seashores.

1989 - The U.S. Army destroyed its last Pershing 1-A missiles at an ammunition plant in Karnack, TX. The dismantling was under the terms of the 1987 Intermediate-range Nuclear Forces Treaty.

1997 - The Mars Pathfinder released Sojourner, a robot rover on the surface of Mars. The spacecraft landed on the red planet on July 4th.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: (by request)
Trying to understand some people is like trying to pick up a turd by the clean end.

I just made fresh coffee. Sorry.

We had some nasty thunder boomers move through last night between 2200 and 0100. No tornado activity I'm aware of but they were strong enough to spin something up. Keep your head down TG, we'll take them back from you in a few months.

Boy I wish that was the case. As counter-intuitive as it sounds, I think it's time for a bigger hammer.

Morning folks.

Morning folks,

A lot of you have been getting some really bad weather, prayers for every ones safety. We have been hot and dry, some mild thunder and showers of no consequence. Spent about 9 hours on the 4th cleaning and servicing my 5ver. Now its all ready to head out on the 9th for a 2 week beach vacation!

Have a great day.

I did. Little while later I pulled myself up to get up to bed but only made it to the couch. DH found me passed out this morning. I think he laughed before he kissed me on the cheek.

You're gonna need a bigger boat.

Slept in the Yoga Downward Dog position? No wonder he was chuckling.

Heating up here...clouding up too. So far no watches or warnings like Alberta.

Severe storm watches issued here, severe storm warnings 25 miles west as well as tornado warnings...AGAIN!

Looks like some intense super cells headed our way.

There's no place like home. There's no place like home.
