Popped in fer a cuppa while I think about the jerk across the street some more and am hoping fer a suggestion or 2 on a minor issue...
First the backround.....bout a month ago this chicken edited by admin coward across the street from me is beating the tar outta his girlfriend/wife in the middle of their front yard and into the street to the point that she's screaming fer help. I will not stand for that so I called the cops and went out and got into the way long enough for her to get away and run off...... fast forward a month and he's back and she's gone.... now in his teensy tiny little mind I have to pay for not letting him beat his former lady friend to death in broad daylight...so far jerkface is just being a nuisence with his rap crap and starting last night freakin air horn till 4 or 5 in the morning.....was loud enough last couple of nights that it woke the boss up out of a dead sleep. I know all jerkface is trying to do is make me overreact so was almost willing to let that ride till yesterday morning when I found 2 slashed tires on my truck....that's a huge ...normally would go over there and take care of biz. myself but am still not up to par from a 3 month hospital stay where I almost bit the big one. Obviously we need to get the law involved again and I tracked down the owner of the house he's renting so will make a phone call or 2 today and chat with the owner of the house bout his lovely renter but am also trying to think of other ways to make his life miserable so he'll depart the neighorhood before I have to either (A) shoot him (not an option) or (b) go over and beat his head in with my cane (not much better an option). Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated before I lose my temper and go kill this jerk

Headed to Fairmont, West Virginia for a week and then on to somewhere in Virginia for another week. This is the maiden voyage for the new FJ (which I dubbed "The Short Bus").

Already behind schedule .... so I better git at it !!

Hope you all have a good un ... and I hope kthiemann gets something worked out with his neighbor .... hate to have the ENTIRE DTR clan show up on the dudes front lawn to show him the error of his ways !!

Kthiemann, document everything in case you need to start a stalking complaint. Check your local court and see if you have enuff for a protection order. A piece of paper may or may not be affective, but can be a pain for him if he's a gun collector or hunter, he certainly sounds capable of doing worse. Make sure he's being prosecuted for the assault, then have the prosecutor give you the court days so you can smile and wave. If you help with prosecution as a witness, he will lose his firearms rights for life upon conviction of domestic violence, unless they let him plea to a lesser charge.

kthiemann Like Redleg said stay on the right side of the law and document everything. Ask neighbors to put noise complaints in too if they get woken up. He'll get tired and go away after getting visits from LEO's all the time. If you talk to the landlord, buddy up to him and see if he can make a few inspections on the property, see if it's being taken care of properly.

Chris if your going to be placing a complaint it has to be official. Filled out in triplicate... One goes to the big guy upstairs. Don't know who your getting to deliver that one. Spring is right around the corner. Hang in there, go take some vitamin D.

Daughter and wife are going to be moving the horses for a few months. Not to far away but to a place with an indoor arena so she can ride if the weather is bad. She wants to show this year and it's only 10 min from where she lives. (We just have an outside arena here) Might be the last year she has a chance to do it. Wants to go back to school in the fall, if she gets accepted.

Waiting on the D and A test results so I can go to work. Sure seems to take a long time.

NIce weather here so can't complain. Have a good one drive safe and have fun... Later.

blizzard here but warm, everyone comes out then- what a traffic mess. might stay on the mountain. wish I still had the sled dogs to go the 20 miles to do the swim class.

actually, Kthiemann- I would not do the paper official route. folks that think like your neighbor won't be impacted; and unless you have a video showing who did the tire slash...well, not much happens. save your frustration, talk with your other neighbors about the rap crap noise. let him see you talking to the neighbors, ask the local police for a nightly slow cruise through your street due to the noise and vandalism. this is a solidarity defense, open and non accusing; therefore, hard to retaliate against. rake your yard, rake your neighbors yard, whatever.. but reestablish a neighborhood connection for everyone's (good persons) safety. and be happy cause it makes bad guys wonder what you have done. play this one pyschologically. and heck ya, complain to the landlord.
(a health department complaint is totally anonymous AND they have the authority to come in unannounced to inspect a foul odor complaint.)
start walking for health up and down both sides of the street if able, this is your place- establish a presence..

Then to confuse all of the unknowing, the Navy will throw their job title(rate) and specialities in with their rank. ie; FTB2(SS)(DV) is a PO2 trained as a Fire Control Technician, Ballistic Missile, and is qualified in submarines and is a qualified diver.
Almost as bad as the Brits that put all their awards after their name and rank.

Unless it's a small dept or you have a buddy in there, most won't have time for drive-bys'. Hard to keep up going cal to call. If the guy happens to not be finished with just doing the tires, a list of any adverse contacts might be just enuff to get stalking with the next complaint instead of just whatever he happens to do at it's own face value. It only takes 2 contacts to constitute stalking. Even if not convicted of any of that, the prosecutor may like to be privy to the added info for his case with the girlfriend's battery at sentancing.
