gentleman- i am looking at moving up to a full size pick up. i was wondering if anybody could tell me from experience,etc what i should pay for what i am looking for. i am looking for a 04 dodge 2500 st quad cab short bed 4x4, with the cummins engine. the options are the 4sp auto, 4.10 axle, sliding rear window ,cab lights and the engine block heater-the msrp is 35,590. dodge has the 2,500 cach back. after dealing-what should i pay for this truck?? thanks. guys

Well I can give you some advise that will save you about $10.
Nix the block heater. You won't need it in Charlotte, York, Rock Hill or points south. Of course if you're headed north to Canada or to Niagra or west to the Rockies during the winter then maybe... Nathan

Sly! Well when I bought my 2003, my dealer said $3000 off the sticker then add the rebate which was $4500 then because it was first week in October, the moon was in retrograde, and Mars was in Aquarius... what was the question?
I suspect $3000 below retail before rebate and then see if the dealer would pay the sales tax. If not leave a phone no. for them to call you and shop around. Let us know how it plays out. Nat
