Looking for Indianapolis Locals

My kid has decided to take off to the Diesel Tech Institute in Indy, Im just looking for any local insights to the school before we get in to deep. Any good or bad thoughts along with any nice to knows about the town.

Sorry it took me so long, twisted up an ankle shortly after this post and things slowed down a little. Lincoln Tech is the school he's looking at.
