Too bad this wasn't a 1st Gen 12V Cummins.

Toyota is going to use this in a commercial, to bad Dodge wasn't donating all of the money to the Science Center.

Sadly I was not able to see this in person but as soon as it is settled in at the California Science Center at Exposition Park we will see it.

None of these videos are mine and all of the credit goes to the rightful owners.

Just one Dodge truck with a CTD would have done the job.
They made sure everyone knew it was a Toyota Tundra towing the space shuttle. Toyota must have paid millions for the honor.

I understand they are a big contributor to the California Science Center.
Would have been cool for the Toyota to break down and a 20 year old 1st Gen tow them both across the overpass.

Toyota must have been in 4x4 Low but I bet his brakes could not stop it, didn't see any surge brake there.

I thought the rear of the truck looked low. They probably put weight back there since it had none on the hitch.

I liked the shots I saw on the news of the shuttle parked in a shopping center parking lot.

I am amazed it is all still there, anything stops in that neighborhood for more than 5 minuets and the wheels and stereo are missing.
LAPD was urging people so stay away from the shuttle route.

I noticed in the last video, they don't actually show the truck trying to move the weight. I bet it either grenaded the tranny or sat there spinning.

They've got 4 powered dollies under the shuttle, and they are pulling it with a pick-up? Yeah, sure. I have some swamp land in the Sahara for sale, and a desert in the middle of Florida as well. About the only thing the 'truck' pulled was the chain.
