Lock your keys in truck? Try this.

Subject: Do you lock your keys in your car???

I haven't tried this personally, but it sounds like something we should all know..........

>> If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home,
>> call someone on your (or someone else's) cell phone. Hold your cell phone
>> about a foot from your car door and have the other person at your home
>> press the unlock button of your key fob (clicker), holding it near the
>> phone on their end. Your car doors will unlock. Saves someone from having
>> to drive your keys to you.
>>
>> Distance is no object you could be hundreds of miles away, and if
>> you can reach someone who has the other "remote" for your car, you can
>> unlock the doors (or the trunk!).
>>
>> Editor's Note * It works fine! We tried it out, and it unlocked our
>> car over a cell phone!)
>>
>>
>> I locked the car and had my youngest daughter call me while I was
>> far away from the car. I clicked open into the phone and I could hear the
>> car doors unlock through her cell phone.. My daughter confirmed that sure
>> enough the doors opened. Pass this one on to your friends

Worked on mine - - I just tried it. Took the fob to the other end of the house where it will not work by itself. Hit the phone, wifey hit the button, truck opened.

Mine must be an older keyless entry version.
And No, I don't want to buy a newer truck so it will work.........

Oh well, I never lock the doors by hand anyway.
If I only lock with the fob, the keys are always in my hand.

You've got to be pulling my leg!

So, in theory, you could do the same thing with your garage door opener. They both run on high frequency radio waves.

I will expect to see a 'remote vehicle entry' fee on my cell bill before long.
We gotta pay for the services...yeah...thats it.

You guys make me laugh.

Ya'll actually have door locks!!!

Wait until your truck gets as old as mine, and when you lock that door, you lock youself out even if you do have your keys.

Anyways, Snopes says it's bull.

At least, it's bull the vast majority of the time.

It didn't work with mine, but the microwave started and the timer was at 20:05.....the year of my truck.

Yes, I'm kidding.
