local sports events feeling the pinch of gas prices

The tickets (which regularly sell for $13 each) will be available for only $6 per ticket while they last

we do a lot with our youth group at church, and all the places we have taken them lately (hockey, baseball) have sent us flyers recently, trying to get us to come back, and they have lowered thier ticket prices to get us to come back.

i think that indicates they don't want the stands empty.
either that, or our group eats a LOT of concessions....

It's getting down to people making choices and I guess they're choosing to eat and buy fuel. I don't think we've seen anything yet.

Every where is suffering. My travel agent has been sending out emails talking about gas cards for almost anything, just so they and the people they are serving will get business. Someone estimated on the news the other day, that even the so called "rich" are pulling back on vacationing, and things. Though I'm sure not buying out-landish homes and stuff.

I wish (yet I don't) we would go through our depression and restart the country. Right now we are toppling over....

folks all around are holding tight to their money.

the local radio station can't GIVE AWAY tickets to some ball games,

it's $20 in fuel and $20 worth of concessions for just two folks, not to mention a pack of yung'uns

i'm in the middle of a big deal (for me, might be peanuts for some)
gonna sell one bike,
and buy another.

really thinking: sell the one bike......

and uh, keep my money in my pocket, and NOT buy the next bike.

maybe wait a year, see what economy does.

a bike in the garage, won't put supper on the table.

Couldn't agree more. It'll come sooner or later. They're just delaying it as long as they can right now.

baseball park was empty.

EVERYONE had free tickets, was only reason they were there.

everyone else already had free tickets.
