LIFE SUCKS
LIFE SUCKS
It said, If your neighbour looses his job its called a ression , If you loose yours its called a depression. Well I have one more year. GOD { people who sit in ivory towers } makeing decisions, not paying attention to lower management's suggestions on who should do what work. With all the recommendations given about our company they still decided to choose the boys accross the river. Well as much as i enjoyed this site, which i shall still read.. one must sell ones truck. So if anybody has intrest in purchasing my pickup please contact me @ causticowboy@shaw.ca

I know where you are coming from it happenend to me before. In 83 I owned 3 semi's and was running from Montana to Alaska hauling different loads. I invested all the money I had into those trucks and I was going to get my first pay chech for those trucks on the 23 of December. I drove from Great Falls Mt to Calgary to get my check. When I got to the main office there was a letter on the door that said they where sorry that because of circumstance beyond their controll they were on able to pay the money they owed at that time and hope that once things got straighten out we would get paid.I felt lost and I had to make that long ride home to my wife.I paid my drivers the money I owed them, let the bank have all the trucks back, and I then work odd jobs for about 14 months. I call some old friends in Alaska and asked them to write me a recommendation and they said if I hand carried to Fairbanks they would sign it. The way it turned out they had jobs in the Fairbanks and wanted me to come back. So I guess what I am saying is that things worked out for the best for me and the same can happen to you.

I've almost had to sell my truck a few times because of my divorce. I know how it is. I know it sounds stupid, because people have told me this too, but the Lord has always carried me through. I've always had just enough to get by, and things are finally looking up, a year and a half later. I'll keep you in my prayers. Stay faithful.

-SFB

Speaking from experience, BEEN THERE - DONE THAT, lost the tee shirt. Lost everything we had up north and moved south again (I was in the service in the early 70's down here). Was making a whopping $4.75 an hour up there, (21 years ago) and now make in excess of, well, lets just say we live very comfortably. Worked out for the best without a doubt.

Things happen for a reason although we may never know what that reason is. Keep looking up and let us know how it's going.

Joel

Maybe I can chime in with my story:

Had bought one third of the company I worked for- spent some money on it I didn't really have.... found out after 2 yrs that the other 2/3rd were having some difficulties in adding up some numbers and keeping the income above the expenses. Well at expenses they were very good. But on the incomes side .. you can't generate too much income when you are busy spendingthe money. So here I am now, having lost more than 3 yrs income on this company, still being in the deep red with my accounts.
But- I got back to being freelance again. I do earn my money, and I am a lot more confident about my future.
I think that there i one recipe to deal with a situation like that. Go for it.
Just my 2c that I cannot really afford ...

AlpineRAM
