Ouch. Saw that http://www.sltrib.com/ci_11288757 . Sounds like the price going up worked out good for them but the rapid drop killed em.

Wow, filing chapter 11, no government involvement? Not laying off a single employee? The people who run the flying J must not be of this planet if they can handle a situation like that. Hope it works out for them, at least their admitting the problem huh?

Maybe the decline in prices caused it....but I doubt it. They run through so much diesel in a day, that they are right on top of the prices. And when it can go up 12 cents in a day and come down 2 cents in 2 days it doesn't add up. Why are all fuel companies not filing for bankruptcy?

Maybe Flying J management needs to be assigned to the Ford, GM and Chrysler problem resolution boards. They recognize there is a problem, determine a course of action, and move on!
No asking/pleading for taxpayer dollars to solve their mismanagement predicament.
