Its been 2 years since the US boarder has been closed to Canadian Cattle.. Well that all changed last week with the USDA overturning an R-CALF injunction...
The first liners rolled today and all I can say is the timing couldn't be better.

Fair enough....
Our cattle market has been in the dumper for about 2 years.. I think for 2 months or whatever they estimate it takes for the market to settle is quite small in comparison... That really identifies the R-CALF directive IMHO.. not so much for safety of the public, but more their ability to contain their own pricing...
I know too many guys around that have lost their entire herd at 0.10 on the dollar to keep their farm. I don't know who's getting rich out there on Beef, but it ain't the ranchers... I think thats true north and south of the 49th..

I think we're gonna hafta wait until RCALF goes all the way to th US supreme court before this thing is really over. Nothing like a few protectionists making it a pain in the keester for the rest of the ordinary folks just tryin' to make a living!

Hopefully fuel prices go down soon, owner/operators are really hurting right now. I guess it's time for them to picket the white house again.

If you mean picket with the truck, the outlawed trucks in Washington I was told. I'm game, that being said.

Ya can't get a truck within 5 miles of W's House, been that way for years.
You could take a taxi but that wouldn't be too safe either.
