Do you have some secret soup recipe that requires wood duck feathers or what??

I'm at home today Hoss but I was wondering how your 2wd does on the rarely icy/snowy roads around here?
That all depends on how I drive it. If I drive sensibly and keep my foot out of it then it does just fine. If I mash the pedal then it just sits there and spins (much like the plane on the conveyor belt).

Full-dressed Classic Atlantic Salmon Flies. I've been working on these for a few months now and am justa bout out of barred wood duck feathers, a main staple for these. They're not that easy to come by.

Taxes, snow and cold-that's why I left NY, but I didn't move far enough south

Eat your heart out 5erBob. We get a white Christmas. All you get to do is wear weird colored Speedos and dive in the pool.

(Geico's try's again to make 5erBob feel guilty and invite us all down for the winter.)

Maybe they know that Hoss is waiting for them south of the 49th!
Saw similar here a few days ago...Two ' V's ' but they were honking and heading north. I think the pack was yelling at the leads to turn around.

Very odd for them to be here this time of year though.

Maybe a reverse of the movie Day After Tomorrow is coming.

It's the white powdery substance that God sends once in a while to let you know you were smart enough to live where a hurricane is very unlikely.

Screw this weather. One of my buddies (AggiePhil on here) just called and said his truck flipped. Was going down the highway and the truck went sideways, hit a ditch, and rolled once. Front axle is broke, roof is caved in, and the front end is messed up but he's ok. He's staying in dublin for the night. I dang near lost it going about 10mph around a corner. Rear end came around on me and almost took out a ford and a mailbox. And it's only 39* here. Supposed to be in the 20's tonight. I don't know how you people up north do it. Some parts of montana are at -45*. Yall be safe out there.

Be careful Blue and learn in it while you can. Its tricky if your not familiar with it.

Its warmer here then a lot of the USA now. Weird huh?

Gotta be careful on that slick stuff Blue. Glad your friend is okay.

We get this stuff usually about twice a year up in the Dallas area. This is round one, but it doesn't usually come this early in the season. We could have a cold winter ahead of us.

It's supposed to get down to 16 degrees here tonight with a high of 32 tomorrow. Tomorrow night it's supposed to get down to 11 degrees. I don't even remember the last time I saw temperatures that cold...especially in December. Should start warming up some on Friday. Needless to say my truck is plugged in.

Me....I'm just trying to decide if I want to attempt going to work in the morning. I like the white stuff, but driving on a sheet of solid ice is NOT fun.

Hell has officially frozen over. I go into dinner tonight and it's rainy and cold. I come out 1 1/2 hours later and my truck is a block of ice. Everything. I had to pour hot water on the block heater plug so I could use it. I don't know how yall deal with this crap. It's supposed to do this all night to. I can't wait to see what my truck looks like in the morning. This sucks. And tomorrow is supposed to be even colder.
