Estimated around 500+ HP out of the 351. So about 5 lbs per HP. 5spd Tremec with a Curry Ford 9" 3.5 gearing.

I know they were known to go 0-60 and back to 0 before the Corvettes could go 0-60 back then, probably still.

They had great traction and big brakes, way ahead of their time.

 

couldnt have said this better myself..

didnt make the barrett jackson auction this year on tv (i think) but it was admirable how he still drove and was invovled in all aspects of his automobiles.. an honest man with an honest passion for doing what he loved.. and makeing a darn good living out of it..

he will be missed.. and thanks for the many many many great cars with the shelby name...
