Re:Leather Seats

Wes, if you want good seats....you should probably go with aftermarket....Ive got the factory leather seats in my 2001 and they dont wear very well, and arent all that comfortable.

Re:Leather Seats

Aftermarket leather and seats are WAY better then the stock garbage. Leather is very simple to install yourself, takes half a day, maybe a whole day if your tediously careful. Only a couple tools are needed.

Re:Leather Seats

Dodgeboy,

Check out katskinz.com or send a PM to Jamie. He installed them and likes them alot. Probally a better product and maybe even cheaper than buying a used set.

Re:Leather Seats

I can't vouch for the earlier models but the leather seats with lumbar support on my 2004 are the most comfortable seats I have had on any vehicle, car or truck. The power adj. pedals are great too if I decide to move the seat forward or back.

Re:Leather Seats

The only thing I've found about the leather seats that I don't like, is when you run out to crank the beast up on these cold mornings and you're in your skivies, parts of you get real cold, real quick. Wonder if I could do a remote for my seat heater? ;D

I was going to say Katzkins. I just had them installed in my truck. I really like the finish and paid way less than if I had ordered leather from the factory. Everything comes pre-stitched and it's a straight forward installation.

Can't say that I can relate to the above problem! I love my heated, 8 way adjustable electric, did I say heated, leather seats. Sorry Dodgeboy, don't wish to part with them.

Didn't think I wanted leather seats when I was looking for my truck, but now think it will be difficult to convince me to buy another vehicle without them.

As for comfort, what can I say! As you are driving along, change a setting now and them. Not much, just enough to be different. Helps me to reduce some of the stifness after driving 4 to 6 hours non-stop.

Did I mention my seats are heated?? ;D ;D ;D
