The kids and I went over to the Mt.Pleasant Lions club, they were having one of their lawnmower races tonight. They had stock with the kids riding, super stock, ap's bp's. They ran 5 laps thru all the classes at first and then had the feature which is 10 laps. Those guys on the bp's, holy cow!! I think they are v-twin motors and boy do they fly!! It was a hoot!! If ya have not seen lawnmower racing....you have to check it out!!

The best part of lawnmower races is the Indy start. So cool...

At the fair in a few weeks they do lawnmower pulls. Its a good comp, dosen't bring the people like the truck pulls, but its just as fun.

Where the contestants start the race on foot; at the whistle, they run to the lawnmower, start it, and then go.

Which often leads to hilarity, as a lot of the contestants are overweight men wearing sandals and a lot of the lawnmowers don't start very well.

At the very beginning, they should do the head on the baseball bat deal, spin 20 times, then run the the mowers.
