Re:LAPTOPS What Kind ?

I'm a Systems Administrator (a fancy word for a computer weenie ;D) for a fortune 500 company. At my location (1 of over 200 locations world wide) I maintain 32 notebooks, 47 desktops and 6 servers. Everything I have is Dell with the exception of the mail server (a Compaq which I hate). Everything we get now has DVD/CDRW drives, at least 512Meg of ram and min of 40G hard drives.

I haven't done anything with Dell from the home side but the corp. side is fantastic. I've had very few problems with either the notebooks or the desktops. When I do have a problem that I can't handle, I simply call Dell and I have the part or someone here the next day.

I don't think you can go wrong with a Dell.

Butch
