Talking KTM 525 XC ATV anybody want one?

Just looked at one last night very well put together machine of course the price tag reflects that! 9000$ Anyway we're looking to do some upgrading on the wife's bike and move our daughter's up a step as well. So she is probably soon going to have a bike faster than mine the only other bike in the running is the raptor 700. I really like the way this ktm is setup though serious eye candy 357lbs, and I don't feel like jumping on the 700r bandwagon. So c'mon give it to me......but, if my wife spanks you draggin' at the dunes

I just think KTM 's

I just got an 07 525 outlaw 2 months ago and it rocks i can only imagine what ktm will do with there machines.

I just wonder how that new 08 800cc honda is going to perform with the same suspension as the outlaw!

I like our honda's and I wonder about the performance of the new 700XX IRS too (686cc) But, I think that thing is ugly as SIN and it's really heavy as well 508lbs.

I seen a nice 525 outlaw today, and yeah it looks cool and all, but I'll stick to my yfz450. It has proved to be an excellent 4wheeler from day one. Super sticky too!

I think it really depends on the riding you plan to do if i was going to the dunes i would prefer a straight axle instead of the independant rear, and as far as motor i really want something that is going to be dependable as well as fast. I think my outlaw runs pretty warm and need to upgrade to a bigger radiator, but then again KTM has been around along time and they know what they are doing.

since i have had my outlaw i havent riddin it alot but this weekend i am going to hatfield mccoy with it to vacate for a while and i plan on qualifying it in the rocky trails up there to see how she handles!!

All i have in a brand new outlaw after exhaust/air/jetting is 6800, i thought that was pretty good considering the MSRP is 7200, oh well i might have gotten ripped off and not even known it.

I do see your point though, it is still alot of money to just abuse on trails and tracks. But i dont get to ride alot so it will stay new to me for a few years, I HOPE!!

well i have about 55-6k in my banshee after all the mods ive done over the years. but 9k right off the bat for the KTM is a hard pill to swallow for me. but im surely not arguing that if i had it to blow, its would be a sweet ride.

Outlaw for the dunes? Get a Banshee All of the companies are coming out with quite the rigs. Most of the magazines and all that is just hype and they are no different than any other quad once they are out and everyone has one.

I dont think the way the susp. on mine is good for dunes, although after jumping a few table tops it is super smooth landing.

i have never ridin a banshee so i cant verify how bad they are but i can tell you at DURHAMTOWN, GA at there dragstrip i put a leg strippin on a few.

when i first went down there to ride about a month ago i thought i would have a tough time with a 660 raptor but no problem out runnin them stock.

the dealership told me when i bought it that the only quad that was close to the KTM OUTLAW was the 700 raptor in which i havent run one of those yet....

Hey have you rejetted that thing? The stock jetting was wayoff when I got mine (525 dirtbike). A buddy of mine just bought an outlaw and we took it up trail riding maybe 4000-5500 ft. and he said his didn't seem quite right course that was really just his break in ride. You been on ktmtalk lots of info over there. Anyway if you haven't already I'd bet that thing could stand some rejetting.
