Knee Surgery Tomorrow
Well I am scheduled for 11:00am knee surgery tomorrow. I have a bucket handle tear of the medial meniscus in my right knee. I had a similar repair 2 years ago on my left knee and so far it is still doing great. Hope this one turns out the same!
The worst part is I was supposed to start a new job tomorrow and now had to push the start date to the following Monday. The new boss was not thrilled but luckily he is being cool with me.

I wish I was as fine, as those who work the pipeline!

sorry to hear you have to go under the knife chad. I'll say a prayer for your speedy recovery and on for your surgeon as well!!! Take care and be sure to take it easy the next couple of days. Be sure to let us know how things went!!!

Thanks Jeff, Thanks Lary, Thanks Riflemanusmc!
I'll update tomorrow afternoon. The surgeon is real cool and does most of his surgeries at the hospital where my wife works so I will be getting a bit of preferential treatment! My recovery nurse is a friend of mine and the wife as well so I feel I will be in good hands. Not to mention my wife is going to try to stand in on the surgery just to watch and will also be in the recovery area too.

No blood flow to that part of the knee,so it should heal well. Walk on it as much as you can and ice down afterwards if needed. Hopefully, you'll get pt as that really speeds the recovery. Congrats on the new job.

Good luck on the surgery and hope you have a quick recovery. I had a similar surgery on my left knee in 2001 (17), I recovered fast but it still bothers me to this dayoncold mornings or when it is rainy. Got the same problem with the right knee, should get that taken care of soon too.
