Can be if you let it go. You risk from scarring of the urethra, which can cause lots of problems, all the way to kidney trouble. Drink cranberry juice and lots of water.

If the juice doesn’t help pretty quick, go to the Doc especially if you have been around girls. They sometimes have cooties that don’t go away with juice alone ---I aint kidding!!!

Definitely go on to the doctor, especially if you're sexually active. It could be more than a UTI and like the others have said, if left untreated it could cause you allot of serious problems through out your life. If you have been fooling around and had unprotected sex, ask him about the silver wire treatment for venereal disease. If that won't make you pay attention, just wait for it to fall off.

I guess a lot depends on where you've been pokin' your... ummmm, 'urinary tract'.

ALL girls have cooties. Stay away from 'em and your 'urinary tract' won't hurt in the first place. Get yourself a floc... nevermind. I'm not supposed to mention that on this forum ever again.

Now you're just TRYING to scare him. You KNOW we don't mention the 'silver wire treatment' unless... you know.

I also had a urinary tract infection back when I was a similar age. It’s embarrassing and a little bit scary (especially at 16) but go anyway. Back then (so long as it was a run of the mill infection, not one caused by a STD). The Doc would give you a pill that made you pee yellow for about a week and you were go to go. But let me see that’s been 1…2…3…Uh a lot of years.
But these guys are not telling you wrong (even if they will give you a hard time ) go see the Vet get it straightened out then drink the cranberry juice and plenty of water in the future to prevent a relapse , NOT SODA.

and as silly as it sounds, remember,

a sailor travels to many lands and does just as he pleases,
but he always remembers to wash his hands,
so he dont get no deseases....

no glove=no love..

Haha, there is no wire treatment anymore. They make you urinate some in a cup and check it, totally pain free except for the 11 day waiting process.

Oh wow, I am cringing so much reading this thread.

But seriously, as others have told you go to the Doc ASAP and get that checked out.

You don't want to take any chances with the health of your "Urinary Tract" you'll find it to be a very useful thing in the years to come.
