This morning I got up and noticed a real bad pain in the (L) of my back, radiating all the way around to the front of my stomach and down into my growing. I'm feeling nasueated, and difficulty going to the bathroom. I'm pretty sure it a kidney from what I remeber from a few years back when I had one. The Doc can't see me until Wed. I've been drining lots of water and vicodin. Does anybody have any suggestions??? The vicodin is starting to wear off and the pain is coming back. This is freak'n killing me! Thanks

I feel for ya there bud. I've had about 40 of them and the last one was a doozey. I had to have Lithotripsy to get it blasted it was so big. The doc had to put a stint in to push it back up into the kidney until I could get scheduled for the Litho. The stint stopped the pain and don't ask how how he gets it in there.
They had me on moprphine and Perkosets. Both of those are nasty and did no good at all to kill the pain. I drink Cranberry juice every day of the week.

Get a better doctor. When I called in mine, the doctor made time and saw me within two hours.
Actually, my doctor was not there, but they set me up with another doctor. I just about fell off the chair when I saw her. Slim, 29ish, blond, um what pain.

You're pain and discomfort means nothing to them.....
Have had 3 myself. First one, didn't know what the heck was happening. Went to the E-room and they gave me an IV and I felt pretty good
They kept me for 3 days in the hospital
Second one I went to the E-room too, once again, the magic drip was the solution

Man I am glad I have never had these things. I have seen my ol' man cry three times in my life. When his Folks passed, when he fell flat on his back off of a hay conveor, and when he had stones. Seems they can bring big strong men to there knees.
Word to the wise!
Go to the emergency room!! I've had them also and could have destroyed a kidney had I not gone!!
I had a stint and lasered the stone excruciating for 5 days or so.
This is not something to play with as it can damage your kidney forever!!!
Get it checked out post haste!!

Call an ambulance and have them take you to the hospital. They will admit you right then, and put you on morphine. Been there done that. You need to get it taken care of right now!
