Just scored a nice deal on tires!

About 2 hours ago I was sitting at work and I decided to do my daily check of tires on Craigslist and I found an ad posted this morning for a set of 5 tires, load range D, sized 315/75/16 with 90% tread for $220. I immediately ran out the door and drove the 20 miles to pick 'em up. I had them loaded up and was getting in my truck when another guy pulled up to buy them. Too late, sucker!

Time to go get 'em mounted an balanced.

I apologize. I will sell them ONLY to you for the low price of $1000. You seem like a nice guy so I'll give you a discount.

I have a friend (no really I do) who I haul horses with in Orange County. He was at the Big O in San Clemente where he gets tires for his trailers. They had a set of B F Goodrich All Terrain KO's, 285/70/R17, load range D, that were pull offs. Still had the little nubbies between the tread blocks. He called me because he knew I was in the market for tires. Picked them up for 150.

Got 'em mounted and balanced. They do great in the mud, and last night I tested them out in the snow up in the mountains... could hardly tell I wasn't driving on pavement!
