Just saw a Mega cab ad on TV...
Local dealer says ordered some today - 8 week delivery
All of the 3500 Megacabs will be duallies with SRW 3500s as a "maybe" late model year rollout. Cab is 15" longer than Quad Cab so can only have a short bed to keep it on same frame a regular cab longbed. Cab also has behind rear seat storage and rears fold to flat deck. My wife got the brochure but I can't see the ka-ching for one right now - but, ya' gotta dream some

The're all over the dealers lots right now down here and they are still UGLY!!!!! I would never consider getting one. Expecially at the price that they are asking for them.

No, in the commercial they called it the Mega-Cab, and it had those huge rear doors.
There's no question what it was and what it was being advertised as.
It's just the shot of the bed made it look more like a long bed than a shortie, so I'm not sure of the bed size.

I think it is a good idea but bad planning. It looks like they just wanted to use uo the doors that were left from the other models and just stretched the cab. They needed to stretch the dooers. I have a hard time getting in and out at 6'3". I did hear the new cab is larger than the ford Crewcab.

The back doors are the biggest of all the full size pickups, plus they open to nearly 90*. They are huge. But the dually
Other then that, they are very nice.
Follow this link to the Mega-Cab specs per a Dodge engineer on the mega cab's design team that I spoke to just over one year ago:

Time sure flies.
The Dodge web-site doesn't show it yet, probably because they don't want to scare people away with the "Build It" price.
I'd be interested in a few years, after they work the bugs out of the initial year(s) design but the only bad thing about waiting till 2007 or 2008 is you lose thee great warrantee they have now.
They always get you.
