Well, I've got another 6 days before I can eat what I actually want to. Plus side of today though is I can eat warm soft foods. A lot better than cold soft foods. Made it through then night without any bleeding. Just rinsed my mouth with warm salt water as per doc's instructions and that caused a little bit of pain. Left side is swollen a little bit. Barely noticeable. I'm getting ready to eat something and take my meds. Didn't do much to me last night other than kill the pain. I was hoping to feel like superman when I took them.

Oh yeah...I forgot this story...

An aquaintance says she had her wisdom teeth taken out. About a week later she noticed an awful smell in her mouth. Turns out a piece of lettuce got stuck in the hole where one of the teeth was and was ROTTING! She flushed it out w/ a needle syringe filled w/ water.

oh joy... i am having 3 of my wisdom teeth removed on thursday morning. i had one removed last spring under local. i need to get one more removed and i wanted it done under general, so while i am out, let them pull the other 2 as well... the doc says i should be almost normal by monday morning by looking at the xray they took. the nerves don't run too close to my teeth so it won't be terrable pain for the 3-4 days... need to go to best buy and stock up on some new movies, or pick out some of my favorites out of my collection [kinda hard to do when you are at 400+ titles ]

Two things I remember the most about the experience, (other than the drooling!): the size of those hog knockers and the fact that you couldn't shut me up even if you had super glued my mouth shut! Sodium pentothal....

I thought maybe you were still numb from the shots and couldn't pronounce the "s" in wisdom. Hey, it could happen.

It might make you feel better to know that you may just have added many more years to your life. The researchers are finding evidence of how tooth infections inflame the inner wall of artieries and allow buildup of plaque. They are thinking that the wonders of aspirin therapy may be directly related to this as it also fights this inflamation in the arteries as well as thinning the blood for better flow thru existing buildup. Their number one suspect in this tooth related event.. Wisdom Teeth. I read this in a news article and then asked my dentist who confirmed it. My mother also asked her dentist who also confirmed it.

I'm 53 and still have mine. The last time I had a cavity was when I was 14. I wish the rest of me were as healthy as my teeth!

Mine came in several years apart, so I got them removed 1 by 1... Never got knocked out to get them removed and didn't swell up at all.

Did learn my lesson of mixing beer and Tylenol 3's though the same night I got one of them pulled!
