Could be coming from your web page.

Here is a copy of our privacy policy.

Types of information we collect and how we collect it.

The majority of information posted on this website offered without collecting any personally identifiable information from you. You may surf this site and view much of our content anonymously.

Information You Provide

There are some activities on this website where the collection of personally identifiable information is necessary. Such activities include registering on this site, using our forum, or sending email to the webmaster. We do not market to or knowingly collect information from children. Therefore our member information does not apply to anyone under thirteen years of age. In addition, DieselTruckResource.Com does not assume responsibility for information collected by Internet spiders, or bots, since some of the administrators of these systems intentionally disregard files embedded on this site used for limiting their access to non-dynamic areas of this site. Your email address may be collected by one of these systems if you choose not to hide your email address in our forums.

When personally identifiable information is collected, you will know because you will have to fill out a form, or send an email. For registering on our forum, we collect only your Username, E-mail address, and password. When you register on our forum, you have the option of hiding your email address from the public. In addition, once registered, you have the option of entering more information about yourself. DieselTruckResource.Com does not sell this information. This information is used to create a sense of community and you have the option of leaving this information blank.

Information Collected from You with Technology

DieselTruckResource.Com collects some information about you using web server technology, so it may not be readily apparent to you that it is being collected. For instance, when you come to our site your IP address is collected so that we know where to send information you are requesting. An IP address is often associated with the place from which you enter the Internet like your ISP (Internet Service Provider), etc. This information is not personally identifiable. DieselTruckResource.Com uses this information to make our site more interesting and useful to you. This includes helping advertisers on our site design advertisements our users might like. We normally don't combine this type of information with personally identifiable information. However, we will combine this information with personally identifiable information to identify a visitor in order to enforce compliance with our rules or to protect our website, users, or others, or when requested by government or law enforcement agencies with a court order.

Description of Cookies, and How We Use Them

Cookies are pieces of information that a Web site sends to your computer while you are viewing the Web site. These pieces of information allows the website to remember important information that will make your use of this site more enjoyable. DieselTruckResource.Com and other Web sites use cookies for a variety of purposes.

You can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies. You do this through your browser settings. If you turn cookies off, you won't have access to some of our features that make your Web experience more efficient. Cookies that this site sends to your computer are not used to retrieve personally identifiable information about you. Their sole purpose is to store information about your forum session, so that our system may see that you're already logged in, or show you when new forum messages have arrived. They're also used in our online store to keep session data. No personal information is stored in any cookie.

How We Use the Personally Identifiable Information that We Collect

Information we collect is used to send you e-mail updates related to site updates, and newsletters about our website, such as an upcoming chat session. It is also stored in our system to provide us a verifiable point of contact if we have reason to contact you.

Who we share information with

The most valuable assets of this website are you, the members. We aren't in the business of selling information about our users. However, we will share information for security reasons.

Third-Party Advertisers and Network Advertisers

Once you've clicked on an advertisement and have left DieselTruckResource.Com, this privacy policy no longer applies. You must read the privacy policy of the advertiser to see how your personal information will be handled on their site.

In addition, some advertisements may be managed and placed on our site by third-party companies. These companies are called "network advertisers." Network advertisers collect information when you click on or scan one of their banner advertisements. The information is collected using technology, so you may not realize it's being collected. The network advertisers collect this information so that they can show you ads that are more relevant and interesting to you. DieselTruckResource.Com does not advocate this practice, but has no means to stop other sites from doing it.

Organizations That Help Protect the Security and Safety of our Users and our Sites

We will give out personal information as required by law, for example, to comply with a court order or subpoena; to enforce our Terms of Service, or site rules; or to protect the safety and security of users and this site.

Choices You Have About Our Collecting, Using, and Sharing Your Information

It is possible for you to use much of our site without giving us any personally identifiable information. When you do register with us or give us personally identifiable information, you will have an opportunity -- at the time we collect your information -- to limit e-mail communications from us by contacting webmaster@dieseltruckresource.com. You can request at any time that we not send future e-mail to you by contacting us at webmaster@dieseltruckresource.com

Don't know what type of email program you're using but Outlook Express allows message rule creation (filter). The one filter that I've found to pretty much eliminate most junk email was to reject any emails not SPECIFICALLY addressed to me. A lot easier than creating "white lists" or "black lists", the other 2 alternatives that I'm aware of. Just be sure to update if email addresses are added or eliminated. I didn't initially when I switched from BellSouth.net to Comcast.net & 'lost' the 1st 2 msgs from Comcast.net.

Good luck.

Here's the explanation of how to create the msg rule allowing only those msgs specifically addressed to you:

1. Open Outlook Express
2. Go to Tools
3. Select Message Rules
4. Then select Mail ("New Mail Rule" window should pop up)
5. In the "1. Select the ..." pane scroll down to the "Where the To or CC line contains people" & check the box.
6. Then go to the "2. Select the ..." pane scroll all the way down to "Do Not Download it from the server" & check the box.
7. Now go to the "3. Rule Descriptions ..." pane & click on the "contains people" link. "Select People" window should pop up.
8. In this window add your own email address(es). After adding your 1st email address, click on the "Options" box. A "Rule Conditions Options should pop up.
9. In this window you'll see "Apply rule if:" & #'s 1. & 2. with 2. being grayed out (at least initially). Under 1. check the "Message does not contain the people below" line. You're done, if you only have one email, otherwise ...
10. Add the next email address & click "Options" again. This time you'll see that the 2. section is now selectable so select "Message matches any one of the people below"
11. Keep going until you're done.
12. Don't forget to name the new rule. No biggie if forgotten, as the name assigned will be "New Mail Rule #?" but it would probably be more useful to have a more descriptive title.

If anyone needs addl help just post to this same thread as I've got email notification set up for any replies to a thread to which I've contributed.

Good luck.
