I'm kind of sad tonight. I mentioned earlier that my sister came into town to visit. Well, she rode in on her motorcycle. Tonight, she wanted to go visit some friends across town so I told her I'd let her use my truck since it's a thousand degrees outside and she's never driven the roads up here before. So, we went over the route she needed to take. Gave her pointers about the roads, toll booths etc and I handed her the keys. I told her to be careful and that I'm nervous, my little Jenny, just a small town girl, driving in the Big D I don't hand my keys to anybody. My Dad and sis are the only ones I trust to drive it like I like (because Dad taught us two to drive in the same trucks, the same way and only a couple years apart so I know she'll drive it "right".) Anyway, she fired up my truck, backed out then drove away. I stood in the driveway, watched the truck. Daaang, my trucks looks good. Sounds nice too. I've never watched my truck drive away before. I'm nervous for my sis and nervous for my truck.

Not fun going thru all that stuff - - glad all is OK - - for now. Mine is this monring - - PETscan. Hate that thing - - feels just like a heart attack and that is not something I like to be reminded of. Oh well, if it helps us all know what is happening down there, then I guess I suck it up and be a big (whiney) boy about it.

He does that when he is here. Just his nature I guess. Mostly scratching. ....

Lots of corn around here in more places that just the coffee. .......

I'll know more this afternoon. I'm suppose to have the procedure followup at 1330. Maybe I'll get a release date so I can at least cut the grass. It's a jungle out there!

racoonsR us strikes again. this lil 4 pounder tried to take hubby's life. mean all night and not happy in the morning. smaller than our lil cat so we can't shoot him, took a ride and released. wanted to fight,not run. misguided child.

charity work this week tripled. I am beat down and broke. nice to come home and find barn workshop all cleaned up by hubby. awesome!!! worked on the ol police bike, supper at a local restaurant, hot tub after Sons of guns tv show. doesn't get any better for relaxing.

dealing with appalacia type folks needing cancer surgery but don't want it, today. yesterday one punched out the radiologist who said " I am just like you". The guy went off, 145 pound guy. all the family goes too. let's say I had my hands full and was glad to come home ( I drive them the hour to the big city and feed them). got him to get a CAT scan and a biopsy. for some reason, they trust me. told the nurse to make a note, these folks don't need friends, they need answers. scared, angry people hit hard.

 

BLAKE! wow, head injury AND strong coffee. you stay awake and you don't know why.....
