Japan!!! (Lots of pictures...)
Mornin, DTR....
(afternoon to me...)
I got to Japan all safe and sound, and I went out and ate some sushi... the close up pic is horse... I don't know if that's a type of fish here, of they had some 'High, Ho, Silver...AWAY!!' on the plate.
Not quite what I expected, but neat...
Gettin off the plane, I took some pics of the mountains around the base...

Pic of a local speed shop... I did not go look around, but I bet I'd make a LOT of guys here mad with my truck... lots of ricers to kill... but I don't think that 'You must have me mistaken for another truck like this, officer...' would work very well here...

Dinner...that's a pic of the horse I was talking about.

This place we went to has a conveyor belt going all the way around the bar, and the different color plates are different prices. Me and 2 other guys at about 6 plates each for about 30 bucks, or 2500 yen.

We went to this bar, nothing special, but my boss knows the guy that owns it, and he's pretty cool, but the phrase 'The sixty's were not good to you, were they, Phillmore?' came to mind...

He had a good note up.. my boss said that it was older than me...

These are at the exchange on base, Lary wanted me to get him one, so I took a pic or two...

That's it for now... nothing major. I think that we're going to go to Hiroshima in a week or so, I'll get lots of pics then.
Just wanted to share... : )

Hat, good to see you made it to Japan safe and sound. How long did it take to get there? With my fear of flying I doubt i'd ever make it over seas. The sushi looks good, been a long time since I have had any. Good luck over there and stay safe!

Rob, I wish I was single so I did not have to leave the fam behind... it would probably be a lot easier to do...
He wanted the dolls for his granddaughter...
Matt, it took me 18 hours including a layover in Alaska... not a bad flight.
What are you scared of? I'm not knocking your fear at all, I know I'm scared of... well... something... (I got something that gives me the heebee jeebies... but I ain't tellin on here...
)
That stuff was great, but they are a little liberal with the wasabi on some of them...

Japan looks like it could be a pretty interesting place to visit. Sushi looks good and I'm fine with a liberal amount of wasabi. on them.
I heard the Janitor might be shackin up over there, if you see him give him a swift kick and send him back stateside, the break room could use a good cleaning!

Yellow hat? Not me...
Scared of dyin? Why? I'm more scared of livin... So far, it's neat, but not too crazy. I have not seen too much of it. I want to get out and about... my boss' in-laws live here, and he's spent about 7 years here, so I think that I'll get to see a bit. No one knows where the hair ball is...
I have this thing about having 30,000 ft between me and earth lol! I can fly for short time but it seem like the longer i'm in a plane the worse my fear gets. I would love to go over seas some day but I just have to get over me fear of flyin.

Have fun over there. I just got back from vacation in Tokyo. Ive never seen so many people.
Look out if some one tries to serve you some white jelly looking stuff that looks like ribbon folded up. It is the semineferous(spelling) tubules from some big fish. (the male organ that makes baby fish). NOT GOOD. I did try everything else. Even the Asahi......mmmmmmm beer.
Have fun.

Be safe Mad! My son just flew back from there on Wednesday night. He was on a MEU (spelling ?) touring the Plilllipines, Korea and Japan. Keep up with the pics and have fun.
MH.... it looks more like your having shashimi rather than sushi. there is very little fish in sushi, its mostly rice wrapped in seaweed.
Be have over there, those LBFMs can be addictive. They are sooo nice, so courteous..
