Iraq

OK lets try this: Lets talk about the war in Iraq, in a civiliezed manner, in the context of why it is/is not right, but not by calling the candidares names, but by eloquently reasoning as so many times in the past on so many subjects.

But before we start lets concede some of the obvious points so they do not have to be repeated and because they can not be the true reasons to go to war.
1. The Iraq and the world IS better off without Saddam.
2. Now that we are there the job must be finished.
3. Iraq was not linked to 9/11
There may be others but lets use this a start. (this is not nearly all inclusive or exclusive)
Lets not antagonize eachother either, it is far better to understand your fellow man than to think he is an enemy.

Hitler was not connected to 12/07/1941, but the world is better off without him too. By getting involved, Europe is a better place today..........so is Iraq. Don't argue that Iraq is not better off unless you have been the are have family there like I do.

As I have stated in previous posts......if we come out of this with a little more oil, all the better.

Some of the 911 cowards trained in Iraq so how can you say there is no connection? Remember the Boing jet used as a mock up found after we took Baghdad?
And there is a paper trail backing it up. Now did Sodamn insane direct it?? Prob not was Iraq involved by support sure looks like it to me.

I meant at the onsett of the war, also, what I 'say' is not scriture, I can be wrong, and i'll stand corrected if need be, the whole reason for the post is just so we can discuss this issue.

There is a connection to 9/11 and it was proven again today. The UN sponsored "FUEL FOR FOOD" program was funneling money directly to Al Quida from Sadam. Al Quida was behind 9/11.

The more of these Edit radicals we silence the better we will all be.

One thing I think we often forget is the many thousands of lives, over the last couple hundred years , establishing and defending this country. The point here is that we would dishonor those lives, if we allow the sadmanns of this world to go unchecked while they deniey fellow human beings the basic dignities that we have fought so hard to preserve. Now that we have removed this evil though, I say give the country to the people of Iraq and give them the chance to establish their own government. I also say take enough oil to cover our costs and put the proceeds back into the deficet account.

Going good until the oil comment blackjack

I'm with you though, just because we're doing the right thing, doesn't mean we couldn't use a little "help" ourselves, or maybe a "small pat on the back," if you get my drift

I'm all for cleaning the up Iraq, it is quite essential for today's global economy, and as much as we all like to live our sheltered lives here on our side of the pond, we ARE a huge part of that economy. AND, we do benefit greatly from it's success.

Then again, just my 19 year old opinion getting the best of me

I don't see anything wrong with that comment. No different than getting an ambulance bill. If they have the means, they can share the cost. Not saying don't go if they can't pay either.

Hence, the smiley face ()! I was joking! The rest of my post was in agreement, or did I write it too ambiguous?

HeHe,

It seems it was just a matter of time regardless of whos in office that terrorism would hit the US hard as in 911. These people are willing to die for their cause, kinda makes it hard to presuade them to stop. Kinda like the bully pickin on your kid. You can ask and beg for him to leave you alone, but a good whopin will set him straight. Im just glad we have someone in office who is taking a stand. I cant imagine what would happen if the tollerance mind set was in place. Seems so many feel were the instigator because we were hit and deserved it or they werent surprised. I live in a very liberal minded area (I guess thats what it is) they balk about world peace and rights for all, What the H was Sadam doing to his people? or any other 3 world country. Rule by intimidation, is that right? I dont think so. Its to late to back out now, we gotta finish the job. I just hope Russia and others will become more involved after what happened to all those little children. That was truly an evil. grown adults will play dirty games so to say, but that crossed the line as 911 did.
Thank GOD for a free AMERICA.
