New toy.
Well for no real reason other than I wanted one I bought myself a 80Gb Video Ipod that I am going to integrate into my recently installed DVD/Mp3/JVC receiver in my truck.
I got it in Black and chose the 80Gb over the 30Gb just because it was bigger.
Impressive 20,000 song they claim 100 hours of video or combination of both.

I only have 522 songs on it right now giving me 1.2 days of music that only took 1.91 Gb of space.

What software or hack is needed so I can sync Microsoft Office Contacts with the Contacts on my Ipod?

Who are you using to download from?
I want to be able to download entire TV shows and some music videos.
Also what software are you using to convert DVD’s to the Ipod?

I REALLY love my ipod, I'm sure once you get into it, you'll feel the same.

I use iTunes to get movies, tv, music, etc. There are other solutions, I just like itunes.

anapod explorer is a GREAT tool for managing your iPod without iTunes.

I hate my Ipod... It seems to always freeze and wont turn on sometimes and wont turn off the others times... You can get the same quality MP3 player in a Samsung or Etc... Ipod is just a name. Its like your neoghbor owning a Cadillac Escalade and you owning a Chevy Tahoe, its basically the samething, just more expensive and more of a Status Symbol!!!

What model Ipod do you have? Have you updated your software to the latest version?

I have found that some of the video files I was trying to load into my Ipod Video will cause it to lock up and require a hard reset.

I have a 8Gb Sansa by SanDisk that I gave to my daughter.
I also have the top of the line Ipaq PDA for a mobile link to my computer I carrying my truck; it also plays Mp3’s

I have worked in electronics for the last 50 years and have seen the world, as we know it today at its birth.
I guess I am a hi tech junkie and I always get the latest in electronics.

If your new Video Ipod is not enough you can get this for it, but I think this is going too far. The price for the 80Gb is $800.00 USD.

Sorry you hate it dude. I have two 30GB ones and wouldn't trade either of them for anything. I resent it being referred to as a status symbol. It's a fantastic platform.
