What the heck is your tax rate for your property tax? No state income tax, tha'ts where they get you is on the prop tax side. Oregon is the same way, but no sales tax, and get about another .5% on the prop tax.

45, I have to look @ the rate, but when I lived in Federal Way,WA my tax on same price house 300K was 3k less??? Another thing I remember the electricity out there was much cheaper. But, that was 8 years ago so I'm sure it must huvver close to what I'm @ now. When we lived in upstate (Binghamton area) NY, man, that is another place that will eat your lunch (big state tax too). I guess I'm just used to it now. What else can you do about it except PAY. But I have to say one thing, we got some kick@@s schools here. My friends house valued @ 675K, you should see his tax! It's a mortgage payment for others.....

I'm in the process of getting a new carrier. Was told yesterday that the insurance code for most cars was about 10 the ram 2500 cummins is 19. That automatically forces rates up. I'm 51 no accidents or tickets, got 3 quotes, range from $460 to $560/6. Side Note: I checked with Gieco for all three or fours cars one time and they were $900 more, and I think that was per 6 months.
Better check around.

I'll tell you all a quick story on my auto policy. I had AAA auto ins. for 30 years, yes. 30 years. No one could ever touch them if you were a member for any length of time. Well, I checked into COSTCO insurance, which uses American Express, I saved almost $500.00 a year and AAA could have cared less about me leaving even tho AAA says that Costco is their Biggest competition. Go figure, After 30 years and maybe 3 claims at most, they said nothing. So I said, C-YA

Glad I don't have a 3rd Gen!
Insurance for me on a 96 is $4500 a year. But I'm 19, and had 1 big incident and one small one that I paid everything for when I was 16, so I'm screwed for a few more years as far as insurance goes.

No tickets ever, 1 minor accident in 2003, and I'm 32 years old.

I'm 43, been with Allstate about 15 years, no tickets, no claims, and paying 450 every 6 mos. on CTD, that is with multi-car discount, premium customer discount, etc.
I asked why it jumped $120 from my pwrstr I traded-in, agent said Ram is rated same as a Ford Mustang.
I truly believe Insurance is just the MOB with a legit business face.

Can't figure why they would single out the Ram as more to insure? Anyway, when I replaced my 1500 with the 2500, mine went up $23 for 6 months to $416. But, I live in TX and behind Massachusetts, we are a very high insurance premium state. They always bring up about not paying state income tax, but dang, my residential tax is $5873/yr, homeowner insurance $1120/yr and auto insurance $1473 for both vehicles (wife has a 04 GLX PASSAT). Yeah, thank goodness we don't have state income tax. Sorry for the whining!
