"Infomercial Shyster dies"

That is over the line harsh on the Shyster thing. He was annoying yes but he was no shyster.

A shyster is someone, who acts in a disreputable, unethical or unscrupulous way, especially in the practice of law and politics. It is a slang word.

Shysters - A charlatan (also called swindler or mountebank) is a person practicing quackery or some similar confidence trick in order to obtain money, fame ...

I am surprised no one is mentioning that he was hit on the head during a rough US Airways landing, the day he died.

Ditto! Always disliked him on TV (actually just his voice) till I saw an interview with him on the Fox Channel.
Seemed like a very gentle, honest, family man!
Maybe his replacement will be Vince... from SHAM-WOW!

I agree with Andy on the word Shyster. Kind of insulting if you ask me. As for the Sham Wow guy, he's a different story altogether. He isn't nearly in the same league as Billy Mays, and he's got a record to prove that point.

Now I found him to be down right irritating, but from all I saw or heard, he was a hard working guy who made some money off his talent. Nothing wrong with that. It is my understanding that he was very picky about what he would pitch; he made sure the product did what it was supposed to before he would pitch it.

He didn't check out OxyClean very well then. I tried that when it first came out and all it did was make pretty bubbles in the washing machine. The same dirt that was on my clothes when they went in, was still on them when they came out.

I never tried the agent orange stuff.

According, to what i just heard on the news he had a bad heart. I hope when my time comes, that I go the same way. i can't stand the thought, of laying for months in a hospital, or nurseing home.

This one was a shocker. Everyone knew Farrah was counting her days and Michael was being held together by plastic. He seemed like he was in good health on his show, but things may have been different behind the scenes. Pray for his family.

I never pictured you as a washing machine owner...

Yea, he was annoying, but not nearly as annoying and having 3 channels out of 50 that aren't talking about a certain "other" celeb that died recently.

My choice of words may have been off but I feel the products he sold were garbage and he was by no means an honest business man.

I feel he was no different than shamwow boy.

Ask anyone who bought a garden auger.

Yup. That show pitchman really sells you on what wonderful people those fast talking “Huckster’s” are. Sorry, I know he was less obnoxious than some but: My semi-senile mother in law keeps falling for the junk those guys sell. She has bought so much $19.95 crud over the years that it makes me sick. If a product cannot sell without having some fast talking guy yelling at you about how great it is, its not for me. Thank goodness for mute buttons.
