The forum I found this on, everyone was raving about the massive amount of torque.

Thats trucks not much of a sleeper anymore because it was featured in Hot Rod magazine a few months ago. I was going to say also" Did you see how that tire was distorting on the roller?" I believe that he runs the stock Generals. Cool video and very impressive numbers on a stock bottom end, last I heard.

Its Turbocharged, 16psi boost is more then double the power it would make stock and 400hp 450lbs tq on a 408 is a mild setup, so doubling it and attaining 700hp 1000lbs of tq with the nitrous is believeable.
Call it BS if you want but I've seen far to many videos of that truck beating up 11 sec cobras and Z06's like it was nothing. Just flat up and walking away from them. I'll beileve 700 hp.

It's totally conceivable to me. (Princess Bride, anyone?)
A stroker 408 WOULD have a lot of torque rise, because it's a really short rod engine. Then you add 16psi of boost to overcome the breathing weaknesses up top, and it's totally reasonable to me.
Keep in mind also that an Ls1 head moves a decent amount of air in stock form. Quite a bit more than a CTD would. So at 16psi, he's moving about the air that a CTD might at 24-25 psi or so.
Now account for the fact that he's revving a LOT higher than most non-pulling CTDs are, and he's moving a LOT of air (witness the exhaust blowing the stuff on the floor).
Makes me wonder how much HP a 572 Hemi could make with 20psi of boost or so-- and a 200 shot
