I'm Bored @ work.........

If this non-wintry weather keeps up I may catch Big Blue in posts. I have already been thru all the summer equipment and no one has destroyed the snow removal equipment since we are not getting any snow. It also hurts the bank account with no overtime .

Cummins and Finning are looking for all kinds of mechanics around here. Unfortunately, they apparently don't pay so well, so their mechanics are leaving to the oilpatch. We have three that I know of off the top of my head working for us - probably more.

Check that...every company is looking for good people, but don't do anything to keep their good people around. Heck, I'm looking for greener pastures. I don't necessarily want more money, just to be treated better in a few areas. Lately, they've been treating the senior guys like it's their first day - one can't think for themself anymore.

JKM, I can set you up. How does 3 hots and a cot, new clothes, full benifits, 30 days a year paid vacation, pick your own job, plus a multitude of other things that would take hours to mention. There's just a little indoc that you have to go through first...

Sorry to hear about your hard luck. Ever thought about moving to Florida? My dad has a good sized construction company, and he's always looking for help. He pays well.

hmmm I remember hearing that same thing about 20 years ago. Don't forget the part about playing with rifles, grenades and other assorted toys.

Things are going to be interesting around work for me shortly. We are forecasted to get up to 12 inches of white stuff on top of 1/4 to 1/2 inch of ice and the yearly inventory of the plant is Friday. I'm betting that half of the production folks won't show up for work. Glad I brought in a big stack of wood and set fresh bales for the herd. Got some extra water set aside for the horses also in case we loose power from the ice. I knew I was saving those gallon jugs for something besides shooting targets.

Mine got their winter coats and had started shedding! this wx is gonna hit'em hard....
