Identify this snake skin!!!!

Found this in my garage, just making sure it is a blacksnake. The snake is in a plastic tub & 6ft was hanging out, I'd say it is around 9ft long. What is it?

The Pelosi snake is only found in habitats frequented by socialists rats and libeal mice.

We have blue racers here that get that size. They almost look black at times.

If it is a black snake he is there for the food, you may have a rodent problem you are not aware of. To get rid of snakes you make sure they do not have a food supply and they quickly move on.

I have the same problem so I keep a good supply of De-con out all the time. My wife all most knocked me on my butt one night carrying groceries in the house. A black snake was laying against the outside of of the sliding glass door. He was stretched across the entire 6 foot length and my wife saw it just as she was about to step on it. I was behind her with my arms full completely ignorant to what was coming next.

Needless to say no mere mortal could have back peddled fast enough to get out of her way when she started her hasty retreat....I still have a perfect imprint from a Nike on my fore head.

The only time I see the big snakes around here is when I run out of De-con, the small insect eaters (the size of nightcrawlers) are common place on the other hand.

That looks just like the one I found in my garage awhile back. I've seen plenty of black snakes or rat snakes as they are called by some around here. Harmless and as mentioned go after mice etc. I've set out mouse traps, sticky traps you name it I've set it out and the mice just don't go for it......so I figured let nature have her way and let the snake be happy!!! I had to check the skin and make sure, down here we are known for the rattler as well and did'nt need to stumble on one of those easin' round the garage!!

My wife is a country gal, stuff don't scare her. She has been around her horse barns since she was young. I hate snakes myself, but black snakes don't scare me....its the copperheads around my son that I don't like.

I do keep the poison in the garage & I've never seen any signs of mice around the house or garage. The snake hasn't gotten in my way, so I'll leave it alone.

I have had very good luck with a piece of Butterfinger on the trap.

A little for the mouse, the rest for me.

Hey now... them black snakes are just as dangerous as a 40' python !!
I can't tell you how bad I almost killed myself tripping over my own two feet trying to get out of my junk packed garage when I reached for a 9/16 end wrench and discovered a big black slimy one sitting in plain sight on my rollaway tool box .... waiting to ambush me, no doubt !!!

Grabbed the kids BB gun and the war was on !!! ..... unfortunately, I was still so shaken that I ended up with a thousand little BB dents all over my tool box, finally abandoned the gun and commenced beating him to death with a looooong stick.

Yeeeeesh ... them things give me the heebie-jeebies !! I'll put up with mice in the garage.

I just put a glob of peanut butter on my traps. You can catch like 20 of them on one glob.
