I lost my baby last night
Well we were at the inlaws for the weekend and all was good until last night at about 10:30PM sunday night. when my 1 year 1 month old boxer dog could not get up the stairs at the mother and father inlaws house.. So the ol lady brings her in and the dog calms down a bit we call the vet and she says to put her in water to cool her down. so as we are tryin to do that her eyes roll back in her head and stops breathing... immidiatly me and the girl freind start cryin so I start giving mouth to mouth about 10-15 times pushin on her ribs and she comes back too.. so we get her i water adn take her to the closest vet and we get there adn as we get to the parking lot she staops breathign again so I try mouth to mouth and nothing,we get her into the vets office at like 1:00AM and gave her four injections to the heart adn still mouth to mouth and nothing she died in my arms at 1:35Am.. its like losing a child or a family member.. this sucks sorry guys but thouhgt I would vent here...
The only difference between a dog and a child (in my book) is one can't talk back! Other than that, they are the same!
I feel your pain. Wife and I had our husky (1st dog of "ours") run off a year ago. He's missed every day!
I am truly sorry for your loss!

Sorry to hear about your dog, I have to Rotts that I'm very attached too and when either one of them go it'll be like loosing a family member.
They are all very much a part of the family, each with their own personality. I am truly sorry for your loss, must be tough to have one go that never really had a full life. Rest assured you did what you could and gave your girl a loving home.
These kinds of posts always get to me. My black lab just turned 12 on May 8th, and every time I see a post like this it really gets to me, because although he has some spunk left, his age and his hips are starting to catch up to him, I can't see my life without my boy trotting along beside me.

I am SO sorry for your loss Tank. It's hard enough when you're half expecting the loss of an older dog, but to lose one unexpectedly, and one that's so young, is just terrible.
chaikwa.
I am also very sorry to hear that. I understand your pain. Stay strong, it will pass.
Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Sorry to hear about your loss Tank. It hurts alot. I couldn't stand how empty the house seemed without my dog. You just never realize how much you're going to miss them until their gone. Ya did your best! Give it some time.
go through the process (grief, guilt, anger, denial, acceptance) and put a picture on the 'fridge or so....let some time pass.
when you think of your beloved boxer (sooo smart dogs!) and smile! that's when it is okay to get another pet... one of things that time heals well.
I personally placed my beloved Siberian with a rich family. Heck, I wanted to live there!! they bought him a 500 heat /cold/ chiropractic bed to put in their bedroom for him to share their room after tossing out their six pages of firm rules.....that's what we are talking here my friend- love , affection and all we can do as humans to take care of them.
you did a super job, God does need smart ones in Heaven once in awhile.
pat on the shoulder to you for comfort.
